so i guess there's a kid here in town who started warning kids that he was going to show up at graduation and shoot all of the jocks and whoever else he hated. (he's been saying this since virginia tech, btw.. in case that gets brought up.) i know of two kids that were told "don't worry, i like you, i won't kill you".. but most parents and kids are so scared of what's going to happen at graduation in a couple weeks that they aren't allowing their kids to go, or the kids are choosing to stay home.
and what has the school done to protect everyone?
they have pulled him out of high school and put him in a-school.
a-school. which you can easily walk out of as you please. nothing's going to stop this kid if he's serious.. especially since he was laughing about how his friends will do it if they stop him. he says they've been planning it for months and "it will make virginia look like nothing".
i'm actually pretty worried about these kids.

I don't know what a-school is, but this sounds pretty crappy. stupid kids. and I mean all of 'em. if people would just be cool and get along and not try to be all cliquey, then this kind of shit wouldn't happen. have we learned nothing from 80's teen movies?!

a-school is alternative school... where they send the ones who have attendance problems or who are just difficult kids. problem children. whatever. it's not a lock-down, jail-type place whatsoever.

blah, well, unfortunately they can't lock him up for just talking about stuff like that. I guess they should just make sure there is good security at the graduation. :/
there was some thread on here about some kid who got in trouble with the FBI or something for making a counter strike (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Counter_strike) map of his school. not like a "here's all the kids, here's a simulation of how i can kill all the kids" type deal, just a standard counter strike map in the shape of his school. i think he got expelled or suspended or something and the feds searched his house. i wish i could remember the link to the news story. TAL! get in here
and here's a real, particularized threat, and they're not even getting the police involved, that's weird. i never thought i'd complain about a LACK of paranoia in society.

no joke. it's a big school, too. they do the whole football field graduation thing, and i'm so worried. graduation isn't a big deal to some people, but it is to a lot of them and it really sucks that these kids are going to miss out on it because of some lame fuck.

Truth be told, if my child was going to be attending his/her graduation (or any kind of a function for that matter), and some little shit at his/her school was making threats like that, I'd honestly put a hit out on that little cock and/or run that turd over myself with a G DAMM MONSTER TRUCK.
I don't like taking chances. Seriously, why take chances? At least break his legs with a G DAMM LOUISVILLE SLUGGAH or something.

And the cops can't do anything about this, WHY? Making threats like that is a reason for an arrest. People have gotten hauled to jail for death threats before, because it's illegal.
Plus, you'd think they'd just beef up security at graduation and have snipers and shit around there. Or hold it in a gymnasium or somewhere where they can monitor who comes in and what they have on them. Just like political rallies, those get HUGE, but they still thoroughly check every person who goes through the doors.
It just seems dumb that they say "Oh this kid has been saying he's going to shoot people at graduation. Oh well." There's a lot they can do, I don't get why they're not.
Only if you take the express.

so yeah...wait...they can't lock him up for making threats? Don't these threats fall under the category of a "Terrorist" theat? Fuck, I thought lynching terrorists regardless of age or race was what the Bush regime was all about. (actually I don't know if you live in the US...so maybe nevermind)

There must be more to the story.
