Revolution topper Joe Roth and Julie Taymor are tussling over dueling cuts of “Across the Universe,” Taymor’s Beatles-fueled tuner.

The exec, a director himself, apparently recut Taymor’s pic without her knowledge and tested it last week. The helmer, said the New York Times in an online report Monday, is considering taking her name off the movie, which already missed its initial release date last September due to extensive editing.

“Across the Universe,” a love story set to Beatles tunes in the 1960s, stars Evan Rachel Wood and features cameos by Eddie Izzard and Bono.

Taymor, who won kudos for innovative staging of tuners such as “The Lion King,” does not have final cut.
