Interesting exchange. Someone here likes Hitchens if I remember right (maybe Enigma?).

Hitch's assault on Ralph "Tinkerbell" Reed for his ties to Abramoff alone make this an instant classic.

Thought this quote from the website was important enough to bring up again:

"It's astounding to hear Sean Hannity — the King of demonizing people for single instances of perceived transgressions (for which they apologize profusely — see: Sen. Byrd, Dick Durbin, John Kerry etc.) — dismiss away Falwell's long record of hateful comments. Apparently it's not OK to blame American foreign policy for terrorism, but it's OK to blame the ACLU and gays."

Bingo.

Yes, I like me a bit of the Hitch from time to time.

This, for instance, was good. Anytime anyone can make Hannity so readily look like an idiot I can't help but enjoy it.

I have to admit, I wasn't all that pleased with his views on the Iraq war, but he is clearly not afraid to use his intellect and say what he means. He has earned a bit of respect for that.

Hitchens is usually readable. I usually hate magazine writers.

I'm generally not a fan of Hitchens (he IS a pompous prick), but I do appreciate the fact that he thinks independently and calls it as he sees it. Depending on the day, I'll either agree with him or just shake my head and roll my eyes. Today I'm agreeing with him.

That's mean. Comparing anyone, even him, to Alan Colmes is just past the line.
