View Full Version : my bunny is full of larvie worms

well i dont know if she is full of them but they crawl on her and in her cage (just found out) and her eyes are full of a milky like substance (and she is not even a whore) she has 3 legs but is only able to use the two front ones anymore, her breathing sounds weird and she just lays there all day long

i wish i could be her for a minute to see how bad she feels then it would be easier to decide if we should put her to sleep now or not

she still eats her bunny food wich means she didnt give up on life yet

i dont know what to do :(

I know it sounds harsh but you have to put the poor guy out of his misery.

Poor bunny. I would definitely take her to the vet and have her put to sleep. You (or your mum) wouldn't want to see her suffer any more would you? I had to have my budgie put down last year after it was discovered she had a stomach tumour - it was hard but not as hard as seeing her in pain.

well definitely take her to the vet, i mean this might not even be a life-threatening thing. maybe she could recover from it? i dunno, see what the vet says

i'm having one of those things...you know, a headache, with pictures

she is 7, a ready for trash age..

well we cleaned her cage and bathed her bunny butt

she looks damaged from the outside but it's impossible to tell if she has pains or is just old and lame

my mum tries to ignore this shit because of the lack of money we have, she wouldnt go there just for a check up

i wish the bunny would stop eating cause that would finally show my mum that there no other way anymore

btw my official bunny has a tumor and our dog can barely walk anymore

Pet Cemetary! I guess someone would still put it in a pot, though! Lethal injection can't be that expensive, try emailing a vet to ask about it, maybe you'll find one who'll do it out of goodwill. Suffering animals make me sad....

my mum would only get her to the vet if she was 100% sure that it's time for the bunny to get it put to sleep, not before

there were times when i wanted to get my bunny stuffed
but i probably couldnt touch it then so i cut off some of her hair (without her noticing it) and keep them in a box

psycho on board!

If I had paypal I'd donate for a bunny hitman!:(
Maybe you shouldn't buy those flat ass shoes and use the money for a lethal injection...

Lyman Zerga

Sounds like fly strike, totally curable. Get her to the vet, they'll take all of the larvae out and clean the wound. The eye stuff may be an infection.

She's probably miserable, don't wait two weeks.

Lyman Zerga

it's not really my desicion, all i can do is to tell my mum how bad she must probably feel like

and the fly stuff is cleaned out

the waiting is horrible, seeing her like that is horrible

just can hope that her pains are takeable and i try to treat her as good as possible

:( I'm so sorry. I know it's hardly a comfort and a bit of a cliche but she really is in the best place now.

RIP Randy's bunny.

Randetica
05-30-2007, 06:39 AM
thank you and im sure she is

when my mum picked her up she saw that there was more of that fly shit
i really really hope they didnt eat her up from the inside while she was alive :(

Randetica
05-31-2007, 01:57 AM
ok now im pretty sure that she had to die cause maggots ate her from the inside

my mum told me that they would only crawl into her if she had a woud but she didnt have one, now i just read that those fucks will own her ass with eggs when it's not as clean as it should be

she couldnt clean herself anymore because of her fucked up leg and we bathed her but it was impossible to get her 100% clean

that she had to die this way really hurts me with no end
i feel so bad

Yeah, if the bunny has a pee butt or a poopy butt larvae will live in it. They will live any place that is damp and dark. If she was old she was probably compromised anyway.

Try not to think about it. I'm really sorry. My bunnies are getting older and I think about it all the time, I am going to be devastated when they pass. But just try to remember the good times you had with her and that she's out of pain now.

my hamster has a cold so Im keeping it at my parents cause my house is too chilly. But my mom is a freak so she's been busting up ricola drops and giving her little slivers to eat and she holds a jar of VIC's vaporub up to the cage so my hammy can sorta breathe in the vapours
