it seems to occupy about 75 % of television. actors talking about acting, being interviewed about their movies, yapping about how profound their work, trying to explain how normal they are, talking about how touching/moving/transformational any given role was to them, talking about their children and the various ways they spend their money...
WHY THE FUCK DO PEOPLE CARE?!?!?
its sickening.

Nicholas Cage is the worst. He is so boring, especially out of the context of movies.
My advice is to just stop watching talk/interview shows.
Are you annoyed when bands come on and talk about their music?

usually - because most bands today suck. everything is so plainly derivative and predictable. when you feed the people bread and water everyday, anything besides that becomes tasty.

actors are some of the laziest people in the world.
giving their opinions like it matters. talking about their success like they deserve it. look at that cross-eyed twat elizabeth hasselbeck. she was on a reality show, then she got hired on the view. shut. the. fuck. up.
its really disgusting. there are some entertainment folks out there who matter, but more often than not that's not who we see on tv. there are so many more important things we could be talking about, there are so many more intelligent people who could actually contribute to a topic... i wish all these people were out of work.

I think it's a fucking shame that bionic is chained in front of his TV with his eyes propped open as demons channel surf for this stuff. It's pretty heartbreaking, in its way.

Inside the Actors Studio and Sunday Morning Shoot Out are often fantastic for examining the craft from the perspective of an actual "art"......however useless entertaiment shows E.T,Inside Edition,Critics Corneretc, etc are masturbatory vanity affairs....personally I really don't want to hear about Lindsay Lohan until she fatally O.D's......

I know there are a lot of actors who aren't impressive and just seem to sleepwalk through their work, but professional acting isn't all that easy.

I admire working actors the same way I admire folks who pursue painting, photography, writing and music....particularily those who work at achieving their passion just for the ultimate sake of creating something to make life more entertaining or bearable for others.....and those folks holding multiple stiff jobs, working shitty improv, local dead end town playhouses or dinner theatre venues....respect!

I don't know. Starving yourself so you can be in a Skink, Iowa production of Barefoot in the Park ain't so laudable in my book. :D

DeNiro playing Rupert Pupkin in The King of Comedy. That's the best he's done so far. Incredible job being in Rupert's skin, thinking like Rupert. (y) (y) (y)

It's a great performance,granted...but the physical dedication he put into transforming between old and young La Motta and the explosive emotional aspect of the role wraps it up for me......Rocky and Bullwinkle being a very close second....or the Fan......;)

Fock.
I had friends who insisted on loaning me that.
Now, I'm not nuts about Babs, but... Babs and Dustin Hoffman.

I would know like to talk about my craft which is making such incredible posts. How do I do it? What are my motives? How do I come up with such witty and funny things? Will I teach any classes on posting in the future? All important questions, but first things first, let's look at (dramatic pause) the posting of a message on a message board...
Let’s begin, as we do with so many of our guests, with what some might say was a troubled childhood…..at the age of 3 you were abandoned by your Gypsy Vagabond parents ouside a Jack In the Box near the Alamo…..you were symbiotaclly adopted by a free ranging tribe of Texas Prairie Chickens and were subsequently raised on a diet of grubs and grease drippings from Taco Bell outlets….how did this experience contribute to or negate your creative process and do you bear your Gypsy kin any ill will?

Yeah, the toilet scene with Bobby in the shower while Hoffman is on the crapper…..that was just so very sad,so tacky,tasteless…..you can’t take that stuff back,it’s on their permanent record….(n)

It did take awhile to get over the whole "I was abandoned by my gypsy parents and raised by prairie chickens" thing, but in a way we have all been raised by our own prairie chickens. You know what I mean.
As far as it's effects on my creative process, I would say that it had a profound effect on it. Just imagine, there you are sitting behind the dumpster of a Taco Bell dipping some grubs into to the stuff the dogs wouldn't eat, and your "mom" just shit on your foot. It really opens your eyes, and makes you appeciate the details in being alive. It clears your head of the little things and allows you to think "Wow, that's pretty fucked up, my mom just shit on my foot."
Fascinating, I believe all our students gathered today can relate, in that you have turned peril and hardship to sweet sucsess, blossoming like the yellow rose of your patron state…..tell us about your tattoos you aquired in the federal penatentionary system ….do they have specific symbolism and was the experience hygienic?....the tattoo not your relationship with Bubba…..

Wow, you really have done your research. The tattoos are very personal and do have deep meaning to me.
The cougar on my left bicep is for my school, University of Houston.
The portrait of Ricardo Montalbon as Kahn on my right bicep with Corinthians 3:23 is a tribute to his badassness, and the Bible verse refers to the Corinthian leather sandals that Jesus wore. And we all know the Ricardo is about the Corinthian leather.
The rose on my inner thigh keeps me in touch with my feminine side.
The word "Skye" across my throat means that she is in every breathe that I take.
The polar bear on the small of my back is because i love polar bears, plus I have a hairy ass.
"Sweet" was admittedly a mistake after being high and watching "Dud, where's my car" with a friend who got "Dude" tattooed across his back.
And lastly "CHICKEN" across my stomach serves as a reminder of what I am.
As far as the cleaniness of prison, it was not that bad being that Martha Stewart was my cellmate. Of course she did anally rape the first night to put me in my place, however, after that, we were cool.
I of course am jealous as my better half will not allow my inner accolyte to expose himself.....and now innevitably we come to the segment of the program dedicated to the brillant and frequent subject of my wet dreams,Bernard Pivot's,questionarre:
1. "What is your favorite word?"
2. "What is your least favorite word?"
3. "What turns you on?"
4. "What turns you off?"
5. "What sound do you love?"
6. "What sound or noise do you hate?"
7. "What profession other than yours would you like to attempt?"
8. "What profession would you not like to participate in?"
9. "What is your favorite curseword?"
10. "If god exists, what would you like him/her to say to you when you reach the pearly gates?"
