...and now all of the management in the office keep eyeballing me as some sort of a traitor.

GOD! Office politics sucks!

Wow - big step but a GOOD one. You didn't seem to be enjoying it much. Congrats.

Have you got something else lined up or shall I drop my mate a line?

I've got another one lined up, I went to the interview a week last friday and got the job there and then. I must have really impressed! (y)

Plus it's an extra £10k than what i'm on now so the milky bars were quite literally on me this weekend :D

It's a good bit of ego massage isn't it?!

Thankyou

haha, i reckon. it pays twice as much as my old job and i do a quarter of the hours. haven't bothered to get a decent job coz i realised i had about 20kg's of meat in the deep freeze and about $300 of food in the pantry. now i'm down to about 2kg's of chicken legs, a bunch cereals, a shitload of baked beans and lots of pasta.

losing my last job has been great tho, i'm more active, i've lost 5kg's and i've turned a few more from fat to muscle. and besides rent and bills the only upkeep i have is ciggaretes, alcohol, milk and bread.

although later i may regret turning down a job as a junior actuary. unbelivable pay but way too many hours and no social life :(

I've heard of it but it's not in my neck of the woods. That's West Yorkshire and i'm South Yorkshire.

money is useless if you have bugger all time to spend it tho. actuary job meant 80 hours a week :(

When I quit two months ago, I trusted the old rumor mill to spread the word 'cause I didn't want to make a big fuss about it. But the main gossiping co-worker kinda kept it to herself. I wrote an email before I ran out the last minute. Some people mailed me later and I replied but I didn't have to bother with small talk about my plans for the future, which included spending quality unemployment time. Didn't work out, though, I was back working within 4 weeks. Now, colleagues can see my monitor so I don't post from work anymore 'cause of the frolicking bears from Joel...

It is indeed. Not forgetting Rotherham (where i was born an' bred) and Barnsley.
