I can't stop eating monkey nuts. Roasted in their shell, no salt, low in saturated fat, and 89p for 300g bag from Tescos.
The carpet around my desk looks a fucking state with shell bits all over the place but I can't stop. I gotta have them

(For those of you in the US scratching your heads going "monkey nuts?", she means 'peanuts'.)

If they're not roasted, grow your own nuts! Just put them in a bowl with earth, they're very forgiving. Me and my flatmate are fans of the king and queen of nuts, cashew and pistachio, respectively.

Peanuts are so good and yet so bad .... if I pop a nut in my mouth ... its got to be an almond or walnut ... better nutrition!
Almonds, here.
Though I'll splurge on pine nuts if I'm making pesto.
Pesto without pine nuts is like... night.

Spinach?
I use basil. And olive oil. Good olive oil makes a lot of difference.

I was like ... huh? :)
So was I, and I ain't in the US!
I've started eating pine nuts like candy, but they're awfully expensive here.
With the health wave there's loads of different assorted nuts with dried fruit available here, loads of lovely flavours together! Now I'm trying to quit smoking (again....) so I keep a bag of nuts in my purse.

Yep, pop some spinach in as well as the basil. Bloody scrummy!

All those poor monkeys.

i'm all about dry roasted almonds, and tamari almonds are rad too. i love raw cashews, and very rarely will get roasted salted ones. i have some unsalted (but still oiled, ergh) peanuts that i use in curries but it's impossible to just walk by the pantry without grabbing a handful of them.
i can't eat much at movies, so i always bring along my own snacks and a small bag of tamari almonds or some other nuts are always in my purse for that reason (insert steger joke here).
