First- My thanks to the Beasties for coming thru....Karma is right . Twice I have tried to catch you guys in my area, once to be the guy in line and denied cause the guy up front bought a huge block of tix. The second time I had 3rd row seats to catch them, and Mike gets hit by a bus and breaks his arm .
Understandable to cancel the show, and I'm glad Mike is OK.

Sasquatch finally made things right. I got to catch both sets, both were off the hook! They played a great array of their jams, both new and old- really a best of the Beasties LIVE and not best of Beasties CD. Folks that said it was "watered down" are not heads. Crowd interaction was good- and they considered a request from a 9 year old girl for Brass Monkey. After they left the stage on Saturday the first time, everyone else bolted to the Sasquatch stage to see Manu Chao, my wife and I charged toward the Wookie stage, and caught the encore close up. We looked back to see a lot of confused faces running back in. Ha ha!!!

My love and gratitude to the BBoys for Saturday's show.

Sunday at the Gorge was WINDY. Infact I believe that they announced 5 members of Polyphonic Spree were blown off the stage and lost in the Gorge, shutting down the Sasquatch stage sometime around 4:00:eek: . Evidently the found them, and Polyphonic Spree put on a VIP aftershow on the Yeti stage.

More on the Yeti stage:
Common Market- It's where I was at 4:20 about when they shut down the Sasquatch stage from the wind. Seattle Hip-Hop with Kentucky roots, spit intellect, speak correct, truth, and knowledge and heavily influenced by the Teacher, The One..KRS1. 'nuff said, check them out

Smoosh after Common Market. I actually caught them opening at the Crystal Ball room in Portland OR. I thought they were pretty rockin' then as a duo of these 8-9 year old girls, and thier sound has aged well and become more rounded with the addition of the youngest sister, about 8? now.

We waited out the wind past sunset huddled behind the fence in the 21+ lounge area, then in the Xbox room. The stage had been open for a while, but it was sooooo windy We were already windburned and frozen, and it was dark. The temperature dropped pretty quick. The Beasties were going to go on in about 30-45 minutes and my wife has a spill problem.....she was soaked, and needed a change of clothes.

We caught the (VIP) bus back to the camp, thinking oh well even thought they won't let us back in cause its a ticketmaster event , at least we caught the show Saturday....back to camp- Shower, grub, and fresh warm clothes. My celly buzzes a message, and our other friends (who wore Tshirts and shorts) said that they were letting people back in!

We really did not miss much of the set-we could clearly hear the stage from camp about a mile away. I knew we could, we left Saturday's show before Bjork, who we could hear very clearly too

We caught the bus back down to the stage to miss only 2-3 songs. Back to the show and the groove is on:cool: Wind had also died quite a bit. Enough of a crowd to be a good one- the kind you can get into and move around, but enough to also be rowdy. They rocked the house and came out for another encore.:D I was slightly disappointed that they let Michael Franti and Spearhead rock the Wookie stage a little longer, and not host a stage competition. Whuteva:rolleyes: ...NY...NW rocks harder (j/k).

I challenge the Beastie Boys to come back next year and prove that NY can rock the NW.

My love and Gratitude for Sunday's show. I hope you guys enjoyed you selves as much as I think you did, and as I did. Nemaste.

Can't wait for the new CD. Yea.....Squatched

Sorry MMM- I forgot to give props to you too! We caught half of your solo set on Sunday, and it was really good. I actually have one of the records you dropped near the end- picked it up in 2002:cool:.

Additionally your performance with the BBoys on Sunday was great! I took some notes on the DJ techniques, and plan on adding to my own repitoire!;)
