hahaaaaa. I love it. but I also love the police so I'm sad that they are playing badly. Hopefully the police are thier own worst critics.
story (http://news.yahoo.com/s/nm/20070601/en_nm/police1_dc)
"This is unbelievably lame," Copeland wrote of Wednesday's show at the GM Place arena. "We are the mighty Police and we are totally at sea."
Copeland started the show off on the wrong foot, literally. He tripped as he took to the stage, and then banged his gong at the wrong time so that "the big pompous opening to the show is a damp squib."
The mighty Sting momentarily looks like a petulant pansy instead of the god of rock," Copeland reported.

I have tickets to go see them in september.
I like how they are practicing their set in the rest of the world before taking it to the real gig ;)

Its probably just Stewart being Stewart. Of course he's going to crack on Sting and call the whole thing overblown. I wonder how far they'll make it in the tour before they have it out onstage like when Stewart broke his drumhead on purpose at the rock n roll hall of fame induction.
And how much longer after that it'll be before they call it off.
I'm surprised they are all hurting for cheddar this much. I thought they all couldn't stand each other at all.
Knowing that, I can't even imagine the shows being good at all. Fuck da police.

well the article claims that they all laughed it off back stage so...I guess they are able to laugh at themselves...for now.

Before the first gig in Vancouver they were talking about making new music together and how sweet they were on one another, bygones be bygones and all that.......I don't think the show is even sold out for tommorow night......

Copeland was trying to be funny. The quotes came out of his blog. Copeland didn't give a serious interview to a reporter.
I'm not seeing The Police on this tour because I hate Sting, but this shouldn't be treated as a real news story. Copeland was being humble about small mistakes rather than being mean to his bandmates.
