2007 is generally shaping up to be a wicked year for live music generally.
I'm pretty pleased with June having caught Antibalas and Fu Manchu so far, and now it's only 3 weeks to the BBoys Zenith gig so I'm going pretty nuts!
I was going to go to Bo Diddley this month too but the poor dude suffered a stroke! Here's hoping he makes a full and painless recovery (I haven't really read up on his condition so I hope I'm not upsetting anyone by saying that)
Money Mark was here (London) last month and was wicked.
Otherwise I've caught The Fall, El-P, the Black Keys and The Arcade Fire earlier in the year (not performing together unfortunately - that would have been interesting) and I've got KRS One, Grinderman and Sonic Youth to look forward to.
As for Brixton this September - F.R.E.S.H. fresh, fresh, fresh - that spells FRESH!

I LOVE Antibalas live!....(y)...they're here on the 24th so I could add it to this insane June, but my Sled Island pass cost too much.....have you bought the new record?...Grinderman,leaves me jealous...I'd pass on K-OS this time round, can't believe he's on the Warped tour, thinkin he's gonna be slayed live by the audience.....

I've been planning to get Antibalas' latest LP since the gig the other night - it's on the list for next payday (along with the Mix Up and Build a Nation! - damn you're right - June 2007 is ridiculous!) - I hadn't really come across that K-OS bloke before - I've just been on Wiki and he sounds pretty interesting - thanks. KRS One should be brilliant - he doesn't come to the UK enough.
Also lined up for next payday - I've got to get a ticket for Medeski (Scofield) Martin and Wood if it hasn't sold out since I last checked - they're amazing live and I haven't seen them with John Scofield before.
Also - Excuse my ignorance but where's Stampede City? - I'm assuming it's in the States somewhere but haven't come across that name before.

Not much for me this month I think - just Wireless for QOTSA and Air/White Stripes. Maybe the Sunday if I can be arsed...

DJ Shadow & Cut Chemist. 6-24-07. Doing thier 7" set ala Brainfreeze and Product Placement at the Hollywood Bowl of all places too. Apparently this is the only North American date. This is gonna be an awesome show.
I'm going to see the following bands this month on southside festival (germany):
Placebo
Deichkind (a really cool german hiphop/electro-band; i recommend you to look for this band on youtube, there are some cool videos of them)
Die Fantastischen Vier (a really old german hiphop-band, but i think it's good to see them live)
Porcupine Tree
Bloc Party
Dropkick Murphy's
Incubus
The Rakes
and finally the ultimate reason to visit this festival:
THE BEASTIE BOYS
It'll be the first time for me to see them live!

Honestly I don't really know what to expect from that concert, it's just that I never managed to see them before, so I'm quite excited....*wish I could go back to 1993 that night* :o
