Cant see it, instrumentals dont lend themselves too well for singles. I could be wrong though.

Singles are shit anyway, the charts are bollocks.

Maybe there will be a single for DJ's or whatever to use, with a b-side/remix. I hope.

they'll probly release a single from the eventual vocal version.

I bet that "vocal version" never happens.

that's a valid statement. i agree, but im going to remain optimistic. (y)

i wonder, actually, if releasing a vocal companion to the mix-up would pass as the third installment of their 3 record contract with capitol.

I think the "single" is Off The Grid as it's featured on the homepage with a video. That whole cut up rat cage thing was kind of annoying, still a great song, though.

Three record contract? They've released 5 now if you don't count Grand Royal releases... PB, CYH, TT5B, SGH, and TMU (soon). If you just mean recently then TT5B, SGH, and TMU is 3.

i don't think SGH counts as a new record. i think it was just a settlement the beasties had to make in order to be able to do AIFST. you may be right though.

what do y'all think they'll do once their obligation is up with capitol? pen another contract, try and release records indepently, or retire?

boy it'd be great to see them sign another 2 or three record deal with a label.

isn't it the electric worm?

so far i've found this (http://shopping.yahoo.com/p:Electric%20Worm:1922740108;_ylt=ArM2gGWEVyYFstFo B5hQA_FUvQcF;_ylu=X3oDMTBzZTVhM3RqBF9zAzk1OTUxMTEz BGx0AzQEc2VjA2FydHByb2Q-) ,this (http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/beastie_boys/albums.jhtml?albumId=1575261), and this (http://music.aol.com/artist/beastie-boys/10/album/electric-worm/1087024).

and according to these (http://www.fmqb.com/Article.asp?id=16770) sites (http://www.411mania.com/music/columns/55406/All-You-Cannot-Live-Without-06.05.07:-A-Day-Late-and-Many-Dollars-Short.htm), it'll be "available for airplay" june 18th. so yes, i do believe "electric worm" is our first mix up single. :)

the other site says that too... it's not unheard off to put singles out fater the albums release. unorthodox mind!
