So now that some of us have heard TMU, and the vocal companion is a, well, possibility, i see no harm in tossing around a few names of who we think would complement the new tracks vocally. Whether it's a handful of likely candidates, or simply a wish list, let us know what you're thinking.
I threw together some ideas based on names that have already been rumored, voices i can imagine when i listen, and some collaborators i'd just like to see. some more likely than others, but hey, it's theoretical anyways, right?

i definitely could hear Damon Albarn over suco de tangeria. it's got kind of a gorillaz-esque vibe with that melody and dub-like rhythm section. nice one!

If this album wasn't all instrumental I bet 14th Street Break would be a fast MCA track a la Year and a Day or Stand Together.

to be honest, Mike D, MCA and Adrock please.
Don't really wanna hear Damon Albarn or Amy Whinehouse on a beastie's record. Although Whinehouse is ok on that Ghostface record. But still, just don't want to hear them on a beastie's album.

Beastie Boys are down with guest vocalists. Hell Nasty is proof of that.

i'd personally like to see such an album happen. at this point it's pretty much certain that they're not going to lace these tracks themselves. i'd rather see the mix up with guest vocals happen then simply just wait until an even newer record. a vocal companion will help bridge some time, somewhat, during the next hiatus.
plus, i've always wondered what some other poeple would sound like over the beasties' shit. you know it won't be cheap sounding like some remix albums (i.e. guerolito) because you know they don't half-ass shit.

That would be a dream.
Talk about a quality old school meets new school album.
