Except maybe the Gala Event, which would sound nice with an acapella of Murder was the Case over top. But I digress. Well? Anybody think it's actually meant to just be enjoyed for what it is?

I'm on the fence about this. I think there is something special about the way it is.
I'm not crazy about the idea of other people throwing lyrics and raps over the Beasties work.
Although, I would like to hear the Beasties spend a few months writing lyrics and throwing down some vocals. It would totally change the vibes of the songs. I think that would be a good thing...but I'm not sure about others doing it.

No disrespect to those that have tried, but what I've heard has been pretty poor in terms of homemade lyrics. Even though pshabi struck gold on that Geek Down beat, I'm wondering if it's better to just leave this stuff as is.
Otherwise, treat the shit like nipples and tweak it before you freak it.

rapping is one thing, but some type of vocals could work under the right circumstances

Leave it like it is. I'd go "Don't touch 'em, don't touch 'em" like in that Wu track. The songs are all so wholesome, there is nothing "missing" in 'em.
Wait, did you mean you rappin' at home?

Anyone who thinks they can go up against bonafide professional microphone fiends is sorely mistaken and will just come off sounding lame.(n)
I do like what nYgel did with his mash up of Off the Grid Vs Pass the Mic though.(y)

I love the new album, and it should be all instrumental. I put vocals on it for fun, but ideally the instrumental record is exactly what I wanted from the beasties after tt5b. I've played to the record behind my trap kit w/ the phones on and that was fun too.
