You've made my brain into a pretzel. For those who want to play along, see if THIS (http://www.ci.minneapolis.mn.us/police/crime-statistics/codefor/488_MinneapolisShotsFired.pdf) helps. :)

EDIT: BTW, I wasn't making fun of your neighborhood. I looked at the city's website for a map and it was the first one on the list. :p

Everyone's moving!

Including me. 2 more months, I'll be 2,400 miles away from where I grew up and lived all my life. Scary.

we're basically in Bryn Mawr as far as anything is concerned...like 500 feet into Harrison where Cedar Lake Road South becomes Cedar Lake Road North.

I actually sat down and went over the numbers year by year and looked at crime statistics and its actually no different on a per capita basis than our current Uptown neighborhood. Its like this bizarre blue collar buffer zone, but Glenwood tends to be the cutoff. Even still, it doesnt get significantly bad until you get past Olson Memorial into Willard-Hay and Near North.

Bryn Mawr is lovely. It's got a real neighborhood feel. I considered buying a home there. I don't think of Bryn Mawr as Minneapolis. I think of it as Golden Valley. :p

I guess I'm in E NE. Not many shootings but lots of registered sex offenders and Polish Catholics -- with an increasing number of lesbians. (y)

its actually pretty funny because when I tell people were moving to "North Minneapolis" they scrunch their faces up but when I say "right near Bryn Mawr" they smile.
