Those are $300.00 a piece and are onsale through a broker. Sucks that they have not even hit ticketmaster yet.

A friend of mine heard a DJ mention it on WBCN. I think it may just be true...they had mentioned the August 6 show before it was posted. The BBoys email said there would be Gala events as well. We can keep our fingers tightly crossed!

I'm just contemplating getting one or two tickets. None of my friends are into the BBoys as much as I am...back in 2004 I had to eat my second ticket because I couldn't find anyone to go with!

Well that is great news since the Avalon is smaller. You should just get the two tickets and sell one outside if you have to. Hopefully the tickets wont be too expensive.

Its disgusting.
Avalon is a very small club, maybe 1000 top. It is on Lansdowne Street (the clubbing street) right across from Fenway Park. Make a week of it and hit Boston and NY... that will be a trip to remember.. Me, I can only go to the Boston shows unfortunately with work and all...
Avalon will go on sale next week.
I've been noticing a trend with ticketmaster posting shows up a week before they go onsale for other shows (rock the bells), and the link says it's been removed. I'm sure it is valid. I guess radio stations have been mentioning it.. I don't listen to radio, only satellite, so I haven't heard.
I'm very excited though! : )

No, but I am against brokers charging 6 times the amount of a face value ticket.
It is one thing if you put it on EBAY starting at face and people auction it up, but another charging 300 a ticket....

I just paid 220 for 2 4th row tickets on ticketmaster ticket auction, and I see nothing wrong with that.
It is when the brokers have the best tickets in advance and sell them at crazy prices that pisses me off.

It's the same situation except that if you buy from a reputable broker you can be sure that you will receive a ticket. Brokers charge what purchasers are willing to pay. In both situations, the band gets none of the extra money.

I have no problem with the ticketmaster auction, whether the band it getting the money or whether a charity is getting the money. It seems like a nice way to get something that would have otherwise gone to brokers, or maybe it just takes a few good seats out of the brokers' hands, but either way I'm fine with it. I was surprised at how cheap the seats went in the auction. The brokers will get more because they'll still be selling seats a couple of weeks before the show (that's when I always get desperate). :p

I called tixmaster to see if they had any info and they could not find anything about it in their system. I'm also wondering if it is canceled or if it will now be BCN event and you can only go if you win tix through them?
