To modify "handbag", duh:rolleyes:

I have been known to do this, yes. I have a lovely vintage black silk one with a diamante clip. It's loverly.

you usually hear annoying college students with popped collars saying it. it's probably just an american thing.

for example "aw man were you there when i rubbed one out on that sleeping girl's face, that was CLUTCH!"

That was probably one of the funniest things I've seen all year. (y)

it's based on a true story unfortunately

well, i wasn't there so i don't know for sure, but i'd be willing to bet a couple farms that one of the three jerk-offs or one of their friends described it as clutch, there's just no way that they didn't

Disgusting use of the word. Should only ever be used in referral to car transmission, or perhaps as in 'to clutch' something (hold on to). Never as an object or adjective.

some guy in the fourth year at uni used to jump between groups of mates and pick up on various sayings and made out that he was the cool one 'with all the lingo'
He was one of those drifters who just flits around the place giving it the big I am.

Well one day we thought that when he was around us we'd all use the word 'feltch' as a cool handle to drop into sentences.

Within days the cretin was telling everyone how 'feltch' he was and how 'feltching' he thought things were.

Beautiful

Psych. But everyone spells it "sike" or "syke" and I have no idea why. It's supposed to be like "psyched you out!" that's been shortened.

I don't mind those as much. Maybe it's because they've been around for longer. New lingo pisses me off, especially when it's shit like "clutch" or "bling" or something else that'll die in the next 6 months.

I never realized that "clutch" has gotten so popular. I've been using it for quite some time.

I stole it from the sports world, to the point that back in the late 90's when the Yanks were winning all the time, me and my friends replaced it with "Jeter" b/c of how clutch he was in ballgames.

That was back before Yankee fans got arrogant, and I could actually stomach the Yankees winning.
