Does anybody know when the tickets will go on sale for the NY dates? I followed the link in the newsletter and on the board to ticketmaster and the only ones that show up are the CA, CO, and PA dates.......

Edit: Actually the Brooklyn show just showed up on ticketsmaster....But where is the Central Park date....That's the one i really want to go to....Maybe they will add it today.....

I'm praying for different dates for the gala shows. I'm going to be on vacation during both those shows. Its the worst news ive gotten in a while.

The two New York show's are Gala Event's? I thought it said they were regular shows?

Beastie Boys - August 2007 Tour Dates
8/1 Philadelphia - Festival Pier
8/6 Boston - Bank of America Pavilion
8/8 New York - Summerstage
8/9 Brooklyn - McCarren Pool
8/16 Denver - Red Rocks
8/23 Santa Barbara - County Bowl
8/25 Berkeley - Greek Theater

The above dates will feature Beastie Boys in all their traditional hip hop glory. Additional, more intimate dates showcasing the band configuration featured on The Mix-Up (due out June 26 on Capitol) will be announced shortly.

I feel your pain. I live in Chi and start a new full-time job the week before these shows! There's just no way I can fly home for these. Being a (quasi) grown-up sucks. It's probably the reason I've begun posting on message boards. :)

I pray for an NYC Gala Event August 10th. There. That is my prayer into the blogosphere. . . . Whoosh!!!

ps - yes, summer stage kicks ass. remember to stop by next door for the hippies at the bandshell with the lsd...

I apologize in advance for my foul language.

With that being said, fuck mccarren park. fuck their pool parties, fuck the hipsters, fuck their skinny jeans and their nonsense. willy b used to be great, now its been ruined...i remember when i used to be scared goin to peter luger's to get me some steak...now there a brooklyn industries and no reasonable rents to be found..

I think that the BK show shoulda been at my friend diggityk's new house..she put a lot of money into it and she needs a kick ass house warming party.

but in the alternative, i suggest Keyspan park...that place is great...and who wouldnt love a lil coney love..some authentic nathans, a ride on the cyclone (*oh shit my bad, its closed now right?) and some heartfelt brooklyn love...

regardless, i hope everyone who's going to summerstage and the pool have fun...

then send them over to me out here in da middle of nowhere pacific islands...

kisses!:p

So these aren't Gala event shows? hrmmm. I'd rather go to those. There's a good chunk of time between these and their next show so hopefully some others will pop up. How big are the venues listed above?

damn, this is the best news i've heard in a while. I'm not the type to go to two back to back shows when they're in the area on tour(the garden - the meadowlands - the coliseum, etc,) but since one of the shows is in the home borough(although williamsburg is pretty wack) i'm hitting up both

I fully plan on holdin my breathe so as to avoid the stench of hipster du jour on my way into the venue, and then flip my fuckin lid as the mutha fuckin Beastie Boys will be all up in MY area!(meetin up with my heads in the 718!)
That beeing said of my friends when I explained I didn't expect them to come with to both nyc shows back to back with me- they all opted for the Brooklyn show. Shit is live, and Brooklyn most definetely will be in the place!

The worse thing about mccarren isnt just the hipsters its the fact that it has to close pretty early because of the people who live in the area i think 10 or 11. Also the only other time ive been there I had to wait forever to get beer which sucks. Keyspan is a great place to see a band especially if you are on the field.

Is Brooklyn in the house? Can't wait for this. By the way, hipsters in skinny jeans are nothing more than annoying. Deal with it and get your ass out to Billyburg.

I got my tickets to central park, I've been a Beastie Boys fan since I was like 8 years old, and it's the first time I'll ever get to see them live.... I'm so excited, I can't even wait.... I figured I better buy them cause I don't know if they'll come to Canada (Toronto) or not, so I think it'll be sweet seeing them live in NYC, and I haven't really been to New York either
