Whose got their share?....just curious…..found 2 on my chest this morning and I’ve been wearing a Brooklyn Fade to “hide” the one’s appearing on my head for 2 years now..…..I figure I should accept the inevitability of it all……you?

You can have some of mine.
If I grow a goatee or Van Dyke, there are some hairs that are on the light side, if not yet gray.
This is one of the cool things about shaving the head, though. Man, I haven't aged in years. (y)

Rarely I find one or two on my head, which is kind of creepy at my age.
didn't you just turn legal?....that is young to start the silverback transformation....

I have three in my head. 2 on my left temple, one on my right.
Oddly enough, I've been married 3 years.

You and Telly Savalas....is it still there or was the choice to go Bic'k a pre-emptive strike?....;)

Both.
It's thinnish on top. But, mainly, I have about five sections of my head where the hair just each wants to form its own sovereign country. It's just impossible -- curly here, wavy there, thin here, straw-like there. Fuck it. Shave it. That's the best haircut for me. (y)

Same. My hair is very dark Brown too, so when I find one it tends to stick out.
I get more all the time. I'm 22 too - what is that about?
I'm not too worried.

I've wondered if there is any truth to that myth that people who endure severe shock can go totally gray within days....???

I think for the most part I'm a pretty laid back individual. Maybe having a roomie I don't get along with helps...but I'd bet it's mostly genetics.
Maybe I'll be the next Steve Martin.

I don't know the exact time frame, but, yeah. It can happen freakishly quickly.

Take heart,my barber tells me that gray hair stays so you'll keep it despite the color....(y)

....well, I see our local library has it, so I'll probably have a look this weekend. Thanks!
I've got 1 white hair on my head. 1 grey hair on my head. Had one on my back (even though I don't have a hairy back) and found one on my inner thigh  The ones on my back and inner thigh are double the length of any other hair i have in those areas.
Once I was talking to a friend of mine and he was staring at me all weird and said "Don't move!" He walked up to me and pulled out a red hair. I mean deep deep dark red. Which is weird since my hair is black. He said it just "stuck out".
My friend's father's new official nick name is "Grey Balls".

I have more than I can count. I really wish they'd grow in a streak. that would kick butt. but no they come in all over. except it looks like I might be starting to get a streak at my right temple. hopefully i get one on my left and then i can look like the bride of frankenstein.(y)

It's funny I've read alot of his stuff and the opening page threw me at first....he wrote the screenplay for “Smoke Signals” and wrote/directed “The Business of Fancy Dancing”….the “Zits” thing turns out to be so damned beautiful, I think you’ll dig it……

Hi all!
Funny about this post. In Jan I began growing out my greys for the first time after ten years of dying! (I'm 32 and first spotted them at 22 -- sigh).
I just finally got tired of coloring -- super expensive, damaging and addictive. Plus try maintaining highlights when you also have to touch up gray roots: gentlemen, you have no idea the pain in the ass.
So I got curious . . . so far I'm into it. It has shimmery highlight effect, a few thin streaks, and I got a shorter funky cut to help the grow-out process. As one friend described, it looks "I'm pretty, get over it."
Still it's not easy to do this as a young woman -- Sure the world has its MCAs and Anderson Coopers, it was hard to imagine that as a young female I could look like anything other than a crazy cat lady. Emmylou is TOTALLY a great example but she's way older (and a rock star) . . . My friends & I have wracked our brains: Can anyone point to a female in her early 30s who rocks the grey?
Sorry to ramble, but this is about hair!

Grow old greysfully (see what I did there?!) and don't bother colouring it. Nine times out of ten it just looks so fake anyway. George Clooney got even sexier when he embraced the greyness.
And my brother has black hair but when he doesn't shave, he gets red bits in his beard. It's most bizarre.

None yet. My mom started to go gray late 40s. She's got medium-brown colored hair normally, and once the gray started to come in she decided not to completely cover it up, but instead put in light brown highlights. It mixes very well and makes her age better, I think. Eventually she'll just stop doing the highlights.
My friend is starting to get a few stray grays, starting at 21. She can't deal with stress well, so it wasn't a surprise to me.
