Hey Y'all,

I haven't missed a B Boys show at Red Rocks yet. I cannot wait! The last show in 2004 was sooo tight. It was so unbelievable that I hopped a plane a month later to go see them at Madison Square Garden. It was unbelievable. My dream has been to see them in their hometown. Now, they have a show scheduled in Brooklyn this year but, to my dismay, I will be in Costa Rica. I am totally bummed.

Anyway...I heard that Red Rocks has gone back to reserved seating in the front rows making all General Admission in the back. Does anyone know if this is true? Pre-sale is in about 20 minutes and I am going to be so mad if I buy reserved seats and General Admission is still in the front section and the back section.

If anyone can help me out...let me know. I would also like to hear what other people think about Red Rocks changing the seating rules....AGAIN.

GO Beasties!

hey, i just bought tickets. i bought them at 10:03, but i'm so mad at myself i was so overzealous and kind of confused that i bought general admission tickets! fuck! i'm so angry at myself. reserved seats are 1-48, so i guess thats in teh front, but isn't like row 90 in the front too? (that would be general admission). i'm so mad at myself, this is my first concert and my first beastie boys concert, and i messed it up. i wish there was something i could do to get better seats. :(

Don't be too mad at yourself. It's an unusual seating layout. GA usually allows you to get to the front.

There may be more reserved seats for sale in the regular sale.

This was the only US date that's tempted me so far, but there's no way I'll pay a broker for seats this time.

Red Rocks has gone corperate, it wack that there have the reseverd up front. It use to be the artists choice and 90% of the artists wanted the fans that show up earily up front, not some suite (not a gala type suite) with the most money up front. They even turned those planter boxes where all the hippies would sit, into expenseive V.I.Penis seating. WACK

But I still got row 17 biiiiiiiiiiiiiiiitch!

We're going!!!!

Hooked up TWO reserved seats in Row 23.

While it's not row 17 or closer, I have to be VERY happy with these seats given the conditions (GA in the back, etc.).

Two other friends hooked up row 26 right at the jump of the ktcl presale.

I live only minutes from Morrison.

Like I've said before, I've seen my share of shows.

However, THE BEASTIES at RED ROCKS is GOING TO BE EPIC!

Early arrival for lot tailgate is a guarantee that day.

Representing Fla. I will be there! Tell me about the tailgating and the pre-party at Red Rocks. Never been but always want to see a show.

I assume we should stay in Denver and rent a car?

This show is going to be amazing? Is there any chance that the B-Boys will recreate the fire on top of the rocks a'la U2?

Beastie Boys at Red Rocks on August 16th = SOLD OUT!!!!!!!!!

The regular onsale that occured at 10am today translated to a SOLD OUT show well within an hour's time.

Surrounded by Red Rocks, the tailgating is classic because the vibes are always exciting and spectacular!

Loads of illegal bbq's break out, strangers in cars next to you become instant friends.............the energy is amazing!

Lots of drinking and good company set the wheels in motion for an experience understood when one arrives at the Red Rocks parking lot.

As far as your whole U2 question, it is with certainty that THE BEASTIES at RED ROCKS will be a CLASSIC SHOW for the time machine!

This concert newbie will be there. I'm skating out of work for a few days to make the trek. Can't wait to mix it up with the fans and hang out in the mountains. If only I can figure out this seating chart....

Has it been known to change?

i went to red rocks yesterday to check out the venue, and there really isn't a bad seat in teh place. its small so even if you have GA-which changes which each show-its not that bad. there are 70 rows (1st and 70th are handicap reserved), and 1-48 are reserved seats, and 49-69 are GA. and supposedly it seats up to 9,000 people. where is your seat?

One of the best bands EVER in one of the best venues EVER?!!?!?

So glad everyone is as hyped as me for this HUGE SHOW!!!!!!!!!!!!

I've only seen the Beasties twice: Lollapalooza and The Hello Nasty Tour.

I've been to so many great shows at Red Rocks, but I am still in disbelief that I get to see The Beasties THERE! DREAM WILL BE REALITY SOON ENOUGH.

For those that went in '04 to see them at Red Rocks, give some details if you can:

Length of show, opener (?), song highlights (besides every one).

Through circumstances out of my control, I missed the '04 Beasties on the Rocks gig.

In August of '07, I will not make that mistake again.

Red Rocks was the first gig on the pageant tour so that thread is probably massive.

I am so excited for this show. I can help you all with your Red Rocks questions since I work there lol. No hookups on seats tho boo I did score row 26 better than GA. GA sadly is in the upper rows this year. If I remember right the highest row is 67? Something around there. Capacity is about 9500 seat wise but when GA is involved I think they sell more. However at Red Rocks even the high rows are not horrible seats. The sound is unmatched up there and providing no one tall is in front of you theres a clear view from all seats. It's gonna be an awesome show!

Hotel suggestions??

The town of Morrison (where Red Rocks IS) only has small B&B's.

One, I think, is called The Horton House. It chills right on Main Street in Downtown Morrison.

I want to throw out a suggestion for an early meet up that day at THE MORRISON INN, a cool restaurant/bar that serves bomb ass margaritas and solid food selections. It, too, is right downtown in Morrison.

From downtown Morrison, you're looking at a quick and direct 5-minute drive to the famed venue!

Anyone wanting to meet up for early drinks (before heading the parking lot for the tailgating there), send me a private message.

We have 4 in our group as of this moment going. More to come, I'm sure.

I am so excited for this show. Caught the boys on their last two tours and the 98 Tibetan Freedom Concert and I can not wait to see them at Red Rocks! I'm coming in from Boston and I have never been to Red Rocks before. Next step is to coerce one of my friends to go with me but I will be there no matter what!

Hey y'all!
I can't wait for this show! I've wanted to see the Beasties for 20 years and can't believe I get to see them at Red Rocks :)

I live in TX but timed a little vacation up here so I could see the show. will be in Morrison the afternoon of the 16th.

Unfortunately, I will be going alone as 2 friends couldnt make it :(
Anyone else going alone and want a concert night buddy? Im in my mid 30s, married, tattooed, fun but a bit shy, chubby and sweet and want to meet somewheres to drink or smoke a bit before the show and maybe hang out afterwards. Hoping to meet with another girl going alone or a small group of fun laid back people over 30.
