Guys, I love you.

But what is the point?!?

You let me know about Denver presale tickets. And you even give me the little cute password so that I can get in and get tickets early. Thank you for that.

Then this morning, I log into Ticketmaster.com. Yeah, I am a little late but at 10:10 my time Ticketmaster tells me that there are no tickets for the event. Even when I put my cute little password in! "Oh, this must be a glitch." So I try again and again. No tickets. I quickly navigate to my email to see what is going on. "Surely, someone would have sent me an email explaining that the password has changed." Oh no. I glance at my messages in the Inbox...

"What is that!" A message from Live Nation.com advertising Beastie Boy tickets at Red Rocks in the subject, low and behold... They even included the Beastie Boy pre-sale password too! "You have got to be kidding!"

Now, I have been hanging around for a very long time on the various lifes of the Beastie Boy websites and "B-Listers" (I wonder who even remembers that one!) And this is the very first time I got completely skunked on a presale.

Congrats on your tickets sales. But I can almost guarantee that those longtime fans are going to be purchasing scalped tickets if and when they decide to suck it up and buy tickets. I though taking my new husband (who is not a B-Boy but enjoys watching me rap along) would be a wonderful date. (Yes, married people still date, kids.) But it is not likely that I am going to allow myself to raked over the coals for even my favorite band.

Please next time, keep the presale codes to true, diehard fans and then allow the minions to purchase on the normal sale date. I will miss you guys, but have fun and rock on, punk out, groove along and lastly "Root Down".

Beastie Boys at Red Rocks on August 16th = SOLD OUT!

The regular onsale today at 10am translated to a SOLD OUT show within an hour (if not sooner).

For those that got tickets for this, I'll see you there!

It's gonna be a CLASSIC!

Something is strange about ticket sales to the Red Rocks show. I actually bought tickets during the pre-sale for the Red Rocks show and the best available seats were GA. I purchased 2 of those. Then on Saturday night I got on to ticketmaster and searched again to see what was available and I got 2 tickets on the 32nd row, so something is up this show may not be sold out they might just be selling a few hundred seats at a time. So keep checking back on ticketmaster throughout the day to see if any tickets become available. Has anyone else noticed this?

I have. I don't think I want go to the show, but I keep running tickets (because I'm still thinking about it) and sometimes there are seats. I ran a single seat in the late afternoon yesterday and got 16th row but I didn't buy it. I know that sometimes sales fall through, but I buy tickets from ticketmaster all the time and I've never seen it like this.

I've ran into every stupid and lucky situation regarding ticketbastard.

I went to see THE POLICE on June 9th in Denver.

I had purchased two cheap seats during the jump of the supposed instant sellout.

The months leading up to the show, I had friends who were able to grab a single or double here and there for said show.

48 hours before the show, shitloads of doubles and single seats were bouncing up and down like ping pong balls.

There is definitely no rhyme or reason when it comes to this bullshit company that needs to be shot in the head (twice).

For the hell of it, I requested two more tickets today (Sunday) and row 34 popped up.

I'm gonna chill with my Row 23 and call it a night to avoid any future frustration.

Very odd... I'm a huge fan of the group and this will be my first concert after 3 failed attempts in the past. Though I live in Kansas (a highly neglected B-boy state), I'm dragging my girl out to see the show with me at Red Rocks. I went on Ticketmaster a day before they went on sale after scouring the internet for the pre-sale code with little luck. Somehow everytime I've signed up to get on the mailing list I never seem to get concert dates or pre-sale info. So I took a wild guess on the promo code and got in and somehow, even after I read they were all sold out I got tickets. As I never been to Red Rocks either I have no idea where my seat is but all I know is that I got tickets and I'm hella stoked. All I've got to say to all the fans who missed out...KEEP TRYING. Like I said before, everyone was saying they were sold out and low and behold I have seats. Personally for anyone else I would never pay $125 for tickets but of all the groups I want to see before I die this has been number 1. If you happen to feel the same way realize that you can't really get the tickets without paying scalper prices whether Ticketmaster does it or Ebay members does it. There's just got to be another way. In Missouri its illegal to sell tickets for more than the actual price, a law as a concert goer i've benefitted from time and time again. Maybe that's where it needs to start.

Ticketmaster is just so horrible. I really wish Red Rocks would stop using them we get so many complaints. Hey where's your seat I can let you know where you are seated.

So, guys. I did it. I finally exhibited some patience and kept applying myself to the task at hand. And "YES!!!! I got tickets!"
I really have lost all faith, love, interest (etc...) in Ticketmaster now. They suck and are plain ruthless. There is indeed a major issue when a singular company controls the purchasing and money power in ticket sales... Oh, wait, You're right ! That's called a "monopoly".

And illegal in this country!

However, my hubby and I will be there at Red Rocks afterall. Up close no less, to rock out at that concert. And then we will see you the next night at the Fillmore in our best duds.
