Is it just me? Or do some of you seem to be in a better mood once caffeine has entered your bloodstream? I'm a pretty positive person. You know the type... always looking on the bright side of shit like Eric Idle. But since I've started sipping this goodness, the overcast day's turned into something even more to smile about.

I mean, I've definitely limited my intake of caffeine and made the conscious effort to choose foods that will keep me energized (like whole grains and peanut butter, what?!), organically speaking, of course. But, oh, that sugar with a triple shot of Espresso over ice with cream. I can hardly sit still now.

I think I feel a headache on it's way. Perhaps I started typing too soon. :o

I don't know. I guess everything in moderation is the way to go. I enjoy a good caffe-ine.

But I tell ya, ain't nothing shooting me straight on the internet. For crying out loud:

Even after decades of study suggesting coffee is not harmful, one of the world's favorite beverages remains much maligned, with people afraid that it may cause everything from cancer to heart disease and high blood pressure.

But according to research, coffee might actually have some health benefits, and it's one of the few drinks available these days that doesn't come loaded with sugar and calories. It might guard against gout, diabetes and Alzheimer's disease, and other health problems.

Important Warning – Health Canada warns us to never mix caffeine with ephedrine (ma huang) due to potential serious health risks.

Geez. And it goes on and on. Eff it. I'm gonna get a cup now.

Caffeine doesn't affect my mood unless I have waaaaaayyy too much. But I'm Mr. Moderate now, so it doesn't affect me at all.

I'm moderate with caffeine, as well. But it definitely affects me. It puts me in an extremely creative mood, too. It's strange. Perhaps it's psychological... what one may refer to as a "comfort food". It probably isn't.

I usually feel great and confident and productive for a couple of hours and then I get nervous, shaky, and depressed. I have a pretty bad reaction to the caffeine from drip coffee. I handle espresso a little easier but generally stick to green tea. I really like coffee, though, so its kind of a bummer that I can't drink it anymore.

I had an energy drink this morning which was probably a mistake. I'm sure I'll be riddled with anxiety around noon. :(

Now those have been an issue with me. I definitely made a mistake drinking a Monster during a graveyard shift. After an hour and half into my shft, I started to crash like a mofo. Fortunately, I kept my shit together and walked around to stay awake. The following six and a half hours were hellish. Just say no.

When afternoon anxiety begins to bite, visit us here at Caffeine Not-So-Anonymous. We're here for you, HPD. :)

I'm known to start off my day with a venti espresso latte on ice with 2 extra shots of espresso.

They always look at me strange and say, "um sir? You know that there's gonna be 5 shots of espresso don't you?"

On my work days I prefer to start off with a little caffeine but on my non working days, I prefer to start off with a few beers cause I'm more of a mellow person in general and winding down and relaxing is more my style.

absolutely triple buzz off a strong black instant coffee first thing in the morning with the obligatory pre-breakfast cigarette.

Caffeine gets me shaking like a mexican space shuttle. I can't handle that ride. I used to drink 2 frozen moca blasts from Au Bon Pan every morning. I was as nervous as a long tailed cat in a room full of rocking chairs. I went to the hospital and the Dr. gave me Xanax and Halcion to put my wildass in check.

Much like Cocaine~Me and Caffeine don't get along

It just occurred to me that Caffeine High could very well be a school somewhere.
