Think about it..The Beasties and the Chili Peppers are the perfect match to tour together...Both bands have been around the same time, they jammed once together back in 1987 at the Peppers recording studio but thats as close as either band has gotten to playing with eachother..(festivals here n there)
A lot of people thought the Beasties and the Peppers were goofballs who would flame out within 2 years and here we are 20 years later and a lot of the people I know (myself included) dig both bands.....a lot of Peppers fans are Beasties fans....

What the hell do you mean "i'll pass"? It was just an idea the guy through out there. It would be a damn good show, too. Who would you rather they tour with, The Baja Men?

I mean, I'd rather not see them tour with the RHCP? What the hell do you think I mean? You've got a cob in your ass on these boards and it makes me laugh. I can picture you mashing at your keyboard in anger.
RCHP music doesn't really compliment the bboys at all and I'd rather not sit through a set of their before the beastie boys. I'd rather just have a couple DJs spin, a Money Mark set, or another quality HIP HOP act.

Chilli Peppers <<<<<< my least favourite bands. No way should the Beastie Boys tour with them.

unless it were blood sugar sex magik era, i wouldn't be all too thrilled. i have a lot of respect for the chilis, and there are quite a few songs i dig, but overall i think they've gotten majorly boring since 1992.
flea reigns though. for reals.

The Chili Peppers live shows now are more energetic than they have been in awhile..for people who think they play ballads the whole show they are wrong..they only play c ouple slow songs..most of the songs they play arefast paced and funky as hell..plus theyare playing more older shit...it would work

So, then the beasties won't open up for their favorite band. Deal?

I would donate a kidney to see this not happen.

I like the Chilli's but prefer their Mother's Milk to Blood Sugar Sex Magic era. They've mellowed out too much over the last few albums.
Anyways, at the moment the Chilli's are arguably the more popular band which would mean the Beastie's opening & they aint no opening act!!
Both bands did tour with The Rollins Band in the early 90's, I saw a chilli's/Rollins show in '92.
I'd rather they did the tour with Rage Against The Machine (now they are playing together again) they were due to do before RATM split.(y)

that would be ill. it doesn't seem too far-fetched either. it would be way better than Talib Kweli ((n))

The Beastie Boys have a history of having some amazing and legendary opening acts, but they've traditionally been up & coming bands.
As much as I like the RHCP, I don't see them as a fit for a Beastie opening act.
BTW, RHCP & the Beasties have a lot in common and have collaborated a few times on live shows and on albums back when the Beasties were based in LA.

I caught a set from Ghostland Observatory at Sasquatch Fest a few weeks ago and they really blew me away. I think this would be a killer opeing act.

Gah, that would suck.
That's meshing two totally different fan bases together, it would be terrible.
As for the RHCP touring with them, I wouldn't really want to see that happen.
I'd rather see Money Mark open for them.(y)

Thanks doc..... do you know that the gig was advertised on the paul's boutique answering machine... damn near this was the days before the internet when you had no clue if the beasties even existed anymore; you had that message leaving a glimmer of hope that the journey was yet just beginning.

Really...that's our choices?
How about touring with girl talk? I know girl talk probably isn't an opener anymore...but that would be an amazing show. Check out girl talk's "night ripper" if you haven't heard them, I can't remember if he samples the boys...
