Fuckin scalpers already selling tickets at $300 a pair on ebay and Craigslist...

why do they let them get away with this when it says "Do not sell for more than face value"?

what is the point of a pre-sale if you cant get the best tickets available?

I hear you, but not everyone is as honest as our world leaders.

What are the actual laws on scalping? Does it differ from state to state, city to city, country to country.

The legal version of scalping is called Ticket Brokering...

I'm pretty sure it's state to state.

Wankers is what we call them.....(here in the UK) it is truly unfair & places like ebay should put a stop to it. However, I brought x4 tixs for me & my friends for a UK show, what Im saying is there should be a limit on websites! as for pre-sale tixs again websites should put a limit per person, but selling them at $300.... these people need to be banned in some way!

I hate the idea of scalpers, but I buy lots of tickets from brokers so I can't bitch. A lot of my best music experiences are a result of paying through the nose. I'll never sit in crappy seats again.

I play both sides. I go to club shows by less popular bands because I can still buy tickets at my favorite record store for $12 to $30 depending on the band and they only charge $1 in fees above the face price. And it's all GA so my ticket is as good as the effort I'm willing to put into showing up.

What bothers me is that so many events now have many tiers of pricing and you can't see the seating charge ahead of time. So when you go on Ticketmaster at the time of the sale, you have one second to decide whether you're going to try for the best seats available (for $150 a ticket) or the best seat in the $80 section, or the best seat on the main floor, and you have no idea whether the $150 tickets are just the first ten rows or the whole main floor. I couldn't get a decent seat for Prince on this tour and I wasn't going to sit in the second tier for any price. That was an easy decision because I was in 8th row last time for less than half the price.

as of 2 weeks ago, the scalping law has expired in NEW YORK STATE.
