So I put an add in Craigslist finally as a guitarist looking for a band.

Yesterday I got a call from some guy who sounded pretty damn genuis who's 39 and into the good ole music from back then, IE Floyd, Sabbath, Zepplin and he also mentioned Helmet, older Jane's alot of other great bands. Of course those are just influences because we're going for all originals.

He's a guitarist as and he said I can either play bass or guitar since he's got a bass or I can play both or we can have two guitars and look for a bassist. He's got a drum kit for now but we'll be needing a drummer *hint hint*.

There's already singer and a studio with all the equipment needed for recording.

I've got a good feeling about this. It's long been to damn long and I've got a shitload of shit saved up and it's time to spew it out.

Nice one Eric, sounds pretty cool. The dude seems like he's got shit sorted, I hope it goes well for you. Good luck.

Yeah, this is good. He's the only guy who's mentioned the kind of music that I'm put down in my ad.

I've had calls from some young guys and when I ask what kind of music they wanted to play, they'd be like Halifax, Green Day, Afi. I then ask why did they call me cause I have no mention of that crap in my ad. Then to top things off, they don't like the fact that I'm 34.

Well, I leave to jam in 2 hours. I'm pretty stoked.

Age has no matter as long as you've got the heart and soul as well as the dedication and at least the same musical influences.

I didn't mention that the singer is 19 but he's pretty much into everything I'm into.

Well, time to hit the trains and jam out.

Oh yeah, this is gonna happen.

Last night, we jammed and we jammed hard. We just clicked so nicely and he's got a huge Joy Division and Robert Smith style on the guitar with like 5 times more distortion. I played his bass and it was the coolest bass I've seen in a while. It's a Roland G77 (http://www.steinbergerworld.com/images/g-77.jpg) and he had flat wound strings on it so it created some great rumble.

So, we're gonna practice 3 times a week and get shit kickin.

Yeah, the bass kinda reminds me of a sharpe. So ugly but cute? I dunno, I could care less for that damn bar on it and I'm not sure of it's purpose. For carrying or something but it's a nice bass. He's got the black one.

He's also got a Fender jazz bass which I'm more fond of.
