View Full Version : Let's play an Acronym game

Discussing the current coverage on the Presidential primaries, I realized many people are asleep with the issues occurring in the present day!

I’ve compiled a list of acronyms that Americans need to learn and fast:

NAU - North American Union
NAFTA - North American Free Trade Agreement
CAFTA - Central American Free Trade Agreement

NAFTA currently plans to build a superhighway connecting Canada, U.S. and Mexico, by using the power of eminent domain - to take peoples land away from them. This connection is part of the NAU. And none of this is secret, it's been happening in plain view, but nobody in Congress is questioning the sanity of such actions. The immigration bill was the first step in erasing our borders and combining our money system. Our money will become the Amero. Don't believe this - look it up - it's currently happening. And for those that claim it's a conspiracy - think again. Congress is openly talking about the Amero. Scary! Search on Youtube and type in Amero.

This country is going in the wrong direction. People aren't paying attention. We're preoccupied. Apathy is destructive.
What candidates are talking about this to the public?
If it wasn’t for my own researching, I may not have known, my candidate has been there all along.
Republican, Ron Paul.

More unbiased coverage would be appreciated.

I believe in our Constitution,
Memphis Greg

And while we're on this, Bush imploded the World Trade Center himself.

Is true.

I was just typing about this in the Ron Paul thread. He has been discussing the NAU in the media. It looks like it is on its way.

My friend, who supports the GOP and a lot of the government's claims and explanations, thought the information on a North American Union was bolgna. More recently, he has had to eat his words. :(

There's no need to go there with this man - that's a different thread. This is about concrete truths, not conspiracy.

Here's a less biased definition of NAFTA, for all of those who are interested in knowing more. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nafta)

I did one better. I searched the entire Congressional testimony via GPO/FirstGov, and no hits when it comes to "Amero". Please tell me where Congress is openly talking about the Amero, and make sure it's a .gov. Thanks.

I'll raise your .gov and see you with an Amero.

I forgot, Wikipedia is the reliable unbiased truth too.

As for the Congress pages - it's being discussed on the floor on C-Span. Last time I looked I thought the C-Span coverage was from "Congress" Here's some links:

I forgot, Wikipedia is the reliable unbiased truth too.

It's more unbiased than you just coming in here, not giving a definition for what NAFTA is, just giving one point about them that you heard.

It's like me saying "You wanna know who GWBush is? Sure, I'll tell you. He's an asshole who stole an election in 2000 and has been the worst president in US history." That's one side, and doesn't give the reader any view into the subject other than what I think and believe.

So there ya go.

Queen - well put. But I have read several books regarding the NAFTA as well CAFTA. I don't think I meant it as a this is how it is point, but rather - here's some things to be aware of. But in fairness to those that don't read the boring books like me, wiki would be a decent substitute.

I know that the idea of a currency union has been floated in the past, and every so often it seems to flair up again - I remember just a couple of weeks ago there was an article I read arguing strongly against Canada's adopting the American dollar, not that such a thing is anywhere on the horizon. But up here in the Great White North there is zero serious political discussion about uniting with the USA. Canadians will simply never let it happen. I'd sooner take up arms than live under governance from Washington, and if you knew me in real life you'd know that that's saying something.
