This is in no way current but I just noticed that:
In his seminal Biggy memorial "I'll Be Missing You," Puff Daddy used an eery, haunting song about a stalker (The Police's "Every Breath You Take") as a poignant and straightforward hook about missing a departed friend.
Whereas
In his fan murder-suicide opus "Stan," Eminem used a poignant and straightforward song about a good boyfriend getting one through a rainy day (Dido's "Thank You") as an eery, haunting hook about a stalker!
Just sayin I think that's a pretty cool juxtapostion there. That is all.
