Who else is up for a cross-town skateboard race?

I raced against 30,000 other corporate NY professionals last night in a 5K sponsored by a bank. It was so boring. But it kind of reminded me of the cross-town skateboard race that I read about once in Grand Royal magazine. I was thinking that it would be really fun to organize one this summer. I mean, who doesn't love skateboard races? I'm thinking toward the end of July, sometime in the middle of the night, somewhere across mid-town. Start at the FDR, end at the piers. Who's in?
