Yes I was one of the original Freaks and Geeks ..well..freak! I taped all the shows, tried to campaign to keep it on, yada yada. Paul Feig and Judd were awesome to the fans, they interacted with them a lot on the message board and it was a real community.

I was just reading Kick Me by Paul Feig today :) I got to meet him a while back and he signed it for me. Nicest guy ever, seriously.

i've got three episodes to go to finish watching the dvd set.

the chemistry between all of them is perfect. james franco is such a bad actor, but it fits. my favorite character is millie. she's so damn cute, the episode where she goes rock and roll, she IS this girl i knew in high school, down to the t.

I have what may well be Claire Danes' autograph on a promo poster for this new movie she's in. It was sort of an accident, but supposedly, it's real.

Weird.

Yeah he's in a clothing store, disco throwback style. Wears an awesome wig. He's also the DJ in a disco dance shabang. Jason Schwartzmann shows up there too. Aweeeesomeee!

I just watched all of Undeclared after getting a crush on Jay Baruchel from Knocked Up. That show is fucking hilarious.

You know, I was aware of the show when it was airing and critics said how awesome it was. I didn't get a proper chance to watch the show, but I happened to catch like the last 10 minutes of one episode (where James Franco is talking with that "geek guru" about D&D and getting laid, etc.). I thought it was really awesome from that scene alone. Never caught it again, and it was canceled soon enough. :(

But thank God for the DVDs. I checked it out when it came out and fell in love instantly. Same deal with "Undeclared" (I watched part of one episode when it aired and thought it was awesome, but lost track). That was awesome too! Though I like their stuff like "40 Year Old Virgin" and "Knocked Up", I wouldn't mind for them to try another TV series in the Freaks and Geeks/Undeclared style... and have it STAY ON THE AIR AND BE SUCCESSFUL!

Are you serious that the DVDs are no longer in print? My work friend asked to borrow my set. I'm not lending them out if they can't be replaced. He has little kids! Anything could happen to the DVDs. (Without ever talking about show or the DVD's original release, my very best friend and I separately bought the set on the day they were released. That's part of why she's my best friend. :))

Everytime I watch an episode, I see something new, and I appreciate a new character. I can't think of a show that had such perfect casting.

I had a friend just like Kim when I was in high school. And I wore a ski jacket just like Kim's.
