I don't know what's wrong with him, I really don't. He works PR, but when I first met him, he couldn't tell me what company he worked for, it was highly classified. I find out two months later that he works for GM, I guess he forgot he told me it was highly classified. Oh, he also told me he was friends with Dane Cook - turns out he went to that stupid college tour he did and he met him and hung out with him for like, half an hour. That's not friends. And even if it was, that's nothing to brag about.

Christmas, he tells me he got a $7,000 bonus, and then he tells me a month ago he got $4,000 camera equipment - free, from his company. His company also got him a Wii. He bragged about an AWESOME COMMERCIAL that he was working on for the Superbowl this year, for his company...turns out that a) his "working" on it was actually him just running some editing for the people who made it, and b) it was announced "worst commercial" of the Superbowl and I never heard him say a word about it since.

My question is, why do people feel the need to brag so goddamn much? Does he think I'll be impressed? I'm not, I'm just annoyed with the fact that he's so cocky about it that he EXPECTS people to be impressed. Yeah, we get it, you have a good job. It doesn't make you god of everything. He's a nice enough guy, I just want him to shut the fuck up about how great he thinks he and his job are, because I absolutely despise cockiness and obvious, over-the-top bragging. Ugh. (n)

Serious braggarts usually just seem like they've got self-esteem issues. People who really have got it going usually don't have to announce it to the world.

I really think that's what it is, but for the life of me, I can't figure out why he's so insecure.

He probably has a really small penis.

Not to stereotype, but he is an Asian dude, so who knows. :p

That's another thing he does. Anytime a girl says "I want you now! Do me!" or something along those lines (in which case you know she's joking), he'll put it as his away message. All the time.

And he wonders why I never wanted to date him. Hmmm....

I wonder how true stereotypes like that are?

I know this friend of mine back in the day told me an Asian (Chinese? I can't remember) guy had the biggest one she'd ever seen, and a black guy had, like, the second smallest.

Huh.

Well, I'm sure there are a lot of exceptions, but overall I've heard that it's a stereotype for a reason. Like that one article that someone posted up a while back that said one contributing factor to India's population boom is the fact that their condoms don't fit properly, they're often too big. Doesn't mean all Indian dudes have small weiners, but a lot of them probably do.

There haven't been actual studies about Asians though, so I just have to rely on gossip.

I'd never heard that about Indians and condoms. Doesn't seem that that difficult a task to make condoms that would fit properly. Urban legend?

...it's funny how loosely we use the word "Asians." I mean, India is in Asia these days, isn't it?

I don't know what's more specific but not offensive in whatever way. Oriental? I think "Occidental" is supposed to be a big no no.

It's just a big mess! Near east is to middle east is to far east like west to east to middle germany. All from back in the day when there was no reliable maps or Google Earth.
