Besides, I was talking about your illusions being shattered, not any entertainment-deprivation wishes I may have.

I'm no fan of this President's, but reality is reality. Showbiz is showbiz. I'd be willing to bet he allowed this to happen during the summer to accommodate other people's schedules. I mean, he is the president of the United States; if he asked some singers to serve by showing up for a mid-November taping, they'd be pretty obligated to do it. I think Elvis is the only performer who ever jerked a president around, in the non-Marilyn sense.

There are plenty of other things worth getting offended about besides this. It's like being shocked and amazed that Harry Potter was filmed using actors, special effects, and on sound stages ten months ago instead of being projected live to you this coming weekend.
