They are marketing geniuses, regardless.
So, let's break this down:
I wanted to get the super slick yellow t-shirt that came with the pre-order.
Check. Got it.
My copy of TMU came in the mail yesterday with the shirt (wearing it right now).
I bought this knowing that I would plump down the cash for the vinyl (you just have to) when it becomes available.
Now, looking at iTunes, I notice that "Biscuits & Butter" is only offered if you buy the entire album.
So, at the end of the day, I could be sitting on 3 versions of this release.
You know what? If they released it on 8-track, I would buy it, too.
They have reached that status.
