Where did you hear this from? Most of the word has been August 5 at the Avalon.

Ace tickets is already selling the Boston Gala tix...way above face of course. I hate that the ticket scalpers ummmm....'brokers' have these before the fans even have a shot at the pre-sale.

They don't have them,
YET.

Yeah, the brokers listing those tickets don't actually have the tickets in hand. And many brokers will list the same 6 tickets in section 78 at MSG. Once you place your order, the broker will scramble to get the ticket or call you and tell you why you would rather be in section 77 for a similar price.

I just got the newsletter about this gala event. You lucky people get to spend an evening with MCA on his Birthday.
On Sunday, August 5th, we will be performing a very exclusive and explicit, once in a lifetime GALA EVENT show to celebrate Adam Yauch's 43rd birthday @ the Boston Opera House! This goes above and beyond our usual already formal gala event. We are talking velvet seats, velvet ropes, and champagne and strawberries people. Dress to impress and take a photograph with that special someone in a wicker chair, oh what? Needless to say, proper dress is mandatory. We look forward to having you join us for this truly special celebratory evening.

I saw an ad for a plane ticket from Philly to Boston for $29 today.

wow, sounds pretty much like the best show ever... i can't pass it up. ... i'm gonna take advantage of the fact that i'll be in cape cod that day on vacation, only an hour away from boston.
boston, central park and brooklyn shows all within a week (and most likely the hammerstein show too) this might just be the best week ever.

I'm having a real delema about weither I need to be at this show. I am seeing them in Philly the wednesday before and right now twice the next week in nyc- soon to be 3 times as I intend to buy tickets for the ny gala event. Moneys real tight for me right now and I did my extravegant beastie trip when I flew across the country to see them at Sasquatch. There set lists haven't fluctuated that much this (or most recent) tour. On the other hand- a special show on Yauch's bday- shit could be crazy. I don't know what to do and I haven't much time to decide. I've literal decided definetively both ways over the past few hours. I have no idea what to do. While it does always feel to me like I'm standing up at some beastie boys 12 step program whenever I post (or say) shit like this, I know its ok because I'm not alone. thanks for having the same addiction as me.

To go back to the original question is there any GA? I'm probably going by myself driving in from NY i hope there is GA so I can at least hang out in a crowd rather then sit next to the same people the whole time,

There is no real GA at the Opera House...I guess if they cover up the orchestra pit maybe...but I think everyone will have to have a seat.

i tried right at 10. 2 seats, best available... and nothing. i hate ticketmaster. maybe there's hope for the saturday sale.
i paid $200 a ticket to see tool at the orpheum, sadly i'll probably have to do the same to go to this show.

Presales really don't give us good seats at all. We are the real fans, we should be in the FRONT!

Picked up two Orch Center singles. Same row but a number of seats apart.. I wish they had a more complete seating chart some where... How is there going to be a PIT at the Opera House?!!

me too!!!! the left center section. row AA of the balcony!!! we might just have some of the best seats in the house.
edit: on ebay of course, for a price much higher than face value. i figure i'd probably end up with no tickets from the public onsale so i'd rather just be sure i have good seats.

I was able to get 2 tickets in ORCBXR with the description of:
PRICE LEVEL 1
ORCHESTRA SECTION
RIGHT SIDE OF THEATRE
WARNING:LIMITED VIEW OF STAGE!!
BOX
So these must be in the box section on the seating chart right? Does anyone know why they would be limited view of stage? Anyone got a more detailed seating chart?

No clue, those are still available on both left and right side, but the LIMITED VIEW scares me....
I'm gonna take my chances wit the sale on Sat. Thats how I got my Sec1 for the Boston Pavilion.
Tix keep opening up as an fyi, those orchestra seats weren't available until after 12pm today.... 2 hours after the pre sales began.
