NOw that i have heard the official release, I feel like tokin' Anyone else. Thats what comes to mind when i hear the cd. I love it. I read in Rolingstone that they wated to put in rolling papers in the cd too but the powers that be denied them, something along those lines.

I don't know if they still like to smoke 'em? But it sounds like some of those songs really came out while the boys and crew where on weed:p;)

Yeah, MCA said he quit drinking and everything a while back (like '94?). Who knows? I don't think that was their intent with putting out an album like this. They just like this type of music - as evidenced by their collecting of older jazz and funk music, etc. People will do what they want to the music anyway.

Did you see the outtakes for Triple Trouble?

RaZoRbLaDe KiSs

umm, outtakes? Where would I find these? The only things I've seen from Triple Trouble was on Solid Gold Hits, so if that's what your talking about, then yes, I've seen them.

Have you guys heard the mp3 of their interview after their first set at Sasquatch? They talk about smokin' buds on there...mostly adrock.....

I highley doubt that they dont smoke at least a LITTLE bit. I mean, we all know that H and D used to up until 98 so why would they stop? They've kinda shifted from thier all holy, straitedge buddhist ways, I mean, even Yauch has said in interveiws that they've kinda fallen from grace, so why not?

It makes me wonder. Back around Hello Nasty and the Anthology, they always said in interviews that their older songs made them "cringe" due to their lyrical content. Seems like they changed their opinion and lightened up since then. Seriously, I wonder if any people still go to their shows expecting to hear "Fight for Your Right."

during the paris gig in bataclan 2 nights ago they talked about lighting up and smoking with ricky powell, and the good times that brought along... catpiss and weed

So they buried the hatchet with Ricky Powell. Great! What I'm reading is one step closer to me being able to hear them play "Car Thief"

I read an interview with ricky, he's still pretty upset. I think the beasties are reaching out.

I do like the album a lot when I'm faded. It's impressive that they can still make smoking music when one of them doesn't smoke anymore.

I have no idea whether that's true. Adrock merely made a comment before playing Ricky's Theme.

I imagine what Ricky Powell is pissed about is called 'Hello Nasty'.

ON TOPIC: going to light up and listen to TMU. Good times.

they talk pretty positively (jokingly? who knows) about settin up some lines of cock-ine (they said it weird hehe) in the "awesome..." DVD commentary.

Ad-Rock and Mike D definitely, 1000% smoke a ton of weed, MCA might be out of the game cuz he got real old real fast. AdRock does E a lot too from what I heard.

Drugs have always been a big part of this band.

Kid Presentable

Adrock and Mike smoke weed still, I think. Based on nothing, though. But they're a pair of wacky fucks, so it makes sense. Aside from that I don't feel cool speculating.

MCA was pretending to light a cigarette in one of those press photos, and when I saw them at the start of the year it looked like he was concealing the fact that it was water in his wine-glass (was it a goblet?). I feel kinda bummed for him that he has to 'dumb down' his lifestyle choices. I mean, if he's happy to do it, then cool. I always figured he'd just make a stand irrespective. It must be hard.

i don't know about that ... according to
04-Dec-2007 little radio show :D

and this Yauch's post (http://www.beastieboys.com/bbs/showpost.php?p=709171&postcount=458) was always funny to me

I think if they didn't smoke weed entirely then that would be weird. Maybe Yauch quit for a bit because he was getting all paranoid from smoking, but to say they do not smoke at all would be false. Just ask Minton.

weed smoking is for people who, like, can't handle their own lives, man

taquitos, I wasn't offended by your comment. I was saying that sometimes if you're rude to a person on here, you can have your shit pulled down over at beastiemania. Which might have happened to ricky lol not really but I still had a point...
