So yeah, go ahead and copy and past links of your birthtown, your hometown, where you're from. Give us the reason as to why you're who you are on this board. The reasons why you rock so much. Your hometown and where you're from is who you are.

Located on the north coast of Lake Erie, Port Clinton is the gateway to world-class fishing, boating, beaches, golf and sightseeing, and conducive to business transportation. Major state arteries S.R. 2 and S.R. 53 link Port Clinton to Toledo and Cleveland, as well as I-80/90. The major midwest north/south I-75 intersects the Ohio Turnpike just 35 miles to the west. It seems all roads lead to the lake in Ottawa County bringing business and visitors to Port Clinton year round.A local airport, the Ottawa-Erie County Regional airport, just two miles east of the town, serves small aircraft and three major airports are less than 1 1/2 hours away: Toledo Express; Detroit Metropolitan; and Cleveland-Hopkins.

I was born in Mesa, Arizona. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mesa,_Arizona)

Mesa is a city in Maricopa County, Arizona and part of the Phoenix-Mesa-Scottsdale Metropolitan Area. It is the third-largest city in Arizona, after Phoenix and Tucson.

Mesa is one of the United States' fastest-growing cities, and currently ranks as the 41st-largest. In 2005 the mid-decade Census survey estimated the city's population to be 442,780.[1] It actually has a larger population than better-known central cities of large United States metropolitan areas such as St. Louis, Miami, and Pittsburgh. It is the second most populous suburban city in North America, after Mississauga, Ontario.

Despite its large population, Mesa is decidedly a bedroom community. Large parts of the city are inflicted with minor urban blight. Mesa also contains several mobile home parks. Certain neighborhoods in Mesa consist of upper-middle class custom homes.

Mesa was founded in January 1878 by Mormon (Latter-day Saint or LDS) pioneers and its population is still roughly one-tenth Mormon. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints operates one of its oldest temples in Mesa (the Mesa Arizona Temple), and the city is a hub of sorts for Latter-day Saints residing in the Phoenix Metro area.

Holy shit man, you reside within the same stompin' grounds as my battle buddy Kelsey. He's a full blooded Navajo and he drank till the sun comes up and then buy another twelver and drink that with tomato juice.

We were both in full time together at Fort Polk. The crazy fucker, ahahahhaha!!

One time the army was doing some outside training at Fort Polk and my buddy Kelsey and I were booze cruising in that area and were unaware of the TXs and we plowed through one of their makeshift road blocks which were made of constintina wire and an M.P. manning it.

Fuckin 3 o'clock in the a.m., wasted on a military base, booze cruisin through the areas where they filmed "Tiger Land" in an 89 Chevy Pickup and plowing through areas where we're unexpected.

We had to stop and investigate because that wire was leaving a trail of sparks that almost lead into flames.

All good times with a guy named Kelsey, from Mesa AZ. (y)

Your hometown and where you're from is who you are.

I disagree.

I disagree.

Give me a reason as to why. Ok, so your hometown may have sucked but, I'm unaware. I don't think you've described it.

You have however, came from a great counrty with some of the most best influences. Whether it be music, art and founders of the minimum wage. But hey, who can blame some of the best artists to be who they are now?

My hometown has a tittie bar, fish gut smelling fish cleaning place on the border of Lake Erie and a meat market dance club with a couple of other constantly name changing place, just to draw the trendies in.

I'll never lie, as far as I've been or seen, I'm from Pawt Clantin, Oh.

It's not that my hometown sucked, its just I don't think you can define someone by the geographical place in which they came from.

Quite debatable on a reasonable level. You never asked to be born there but, it happened.

As you're born in it, live within it, grow up with it and don't ever deny it. With the motto, It is what it is should be everyone's motto as to their stomping grounds.

My Hometown (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rotherham)

Coal, Steel, Whippets, racing pigeons, giant Yorkshire puddings with onion gravy, and the mother fucking chuckle brothers. All these things sum up my hometown.

I’ve lived in various parts of the UK and called NY state home for a year but I always end up back here or within 10 miles of it.

Unless you're born in a plane or on your mom's tourist trip!
That said, I'm from the middle of the woods, not too far from Ramstein airbase, in beautiful Palatinate. Here's a link to the lake I used go to in the summer: http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eisbach_(Pfalz) My village is right next to it, but it's too small to have any meaningful pics on the web. I sure got my mouf from there and still support the local club, but it's a bit remote, with no major towns or nightlife. I haven't lived there for almost 11 years now...:(

I grew up in Adelaide, South Australia.

This link (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Adelaide)

pretty much says it all! If you look on that aerial map, I live right next to where the pointer says 'Glenelg'.

I grew up living right next door to the reservoir thats pictured at the bottom of the page.

Some of the best and best known wine in the world, and besides Amsterdam, the highest quality and cheapest semi-legal pot on Earth! (Believe me, I have done my research and taken many many witness testimonies).

Interesting trivia about that reservoir:

The original site of the village of Happy Valley (1800s) now lies deep underwater in the reservoir. Instead of demolishing the town, they just flooded it! When the reservoir is low you can still see the top of the church steeple poking out of the water.

Situated at the confluence of the North and South Thompson Rivers in the Thompson Valley, the sprawling city of Kamloops takes its name from the First Nations word Kahm-o-loops, meaning meeting of the waters.

Kamloops is the third largest city in the southern interior of BC, and the fifth largest in British Columbia. The major industry is forestry, followed by tourism, ranching and mining. The landscape is characterized by rivers, mountains, lakes and grasslands, which offer unsurpassed opportunities for year-round outdoor adventure, enough to keep even the most avid outdoor enthusiast busy. Blue skies, endless sunshine, deep powder snow, one thousand lakes and spectacular landscapes make the Kamloops Region the natural place to visit and experience unparalleled adventure opportunities.

I have relatives in British Columbia so I learnt english when I was 10. Back in the eighties the older people in our village rent flats and houses out to GIs from the bases (Ramstein or Sembach). I hung with some of their kids in my very early teens cause I knew they had far more advanced and cheap toys, I remember seeing the Monster Manual and Voltron and GI Joe and all that shit and I was like, "Ha, I know things most kids my age will not hear of in years." Later when I was 18 I started to hang out with lots of people on base playing Magic The Gathering. I remember drinking Welsh Grape and Mountain Dew and eating Doritos and I was like "Ha, I eat and drink things most kids my age will not hear of in years." :D

I was born in Washington, D.C. but grew up in the suburbs right outside of the city.

From wiki:

Montgomery County of the U.S. state of Maryland is situated just north of Washington, D.C. and Southwest of Baltimore. It is one of the most affluent counties in the nation. It leads the nation with the highest percentage (29.2%) of residents over 25 years old that hold an advanced degree.[1] The county seat is Rockville and the largest municipality is the city of Gaithersburg. It is a part of both the Washington Metropolitan Area and the Baltimore-Washington Metropolitan Area.

We're well-known for the DC Sniper back in 2002. Oh and the Blair Witch kids went to my college and filmed about 5 miles away from my house, in the woods. We're also known for OAR and Hootie and the Blowfish. Potomac is where all the rich whitey senators/political people live, and some sports stars I don't remember. Those are our claims to fame, not really impressive, but at least people know of where I speak of when I bring up some of it.

MoCo is okay, but I much prefer DC. If/when I move back, I'm going to move into the actual city. I absolutely love Washington, D.C. I'm huge into politics and this is where everything goes down, so I feel it's a good fit for me. Plus, free museums!

I can't say enough bad things about my shitty hometown. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Regina%2C_Saskatchewan) I hate it.

Regina was established in 1882 when it became clear that Edgar Dewdney, the lieutenant-governor of the North-West Territories, eschewed the previously established and considered Battleford, Qu'Appelle and Fort Qu'Appelle as the territorial headquarters; these were widely considered more amiable locations for what was anticipated would be a major city, situated as they were in amply watered and treed rolling parklands whereas "Pile-of-Bones," as the site was then called, was in the midst of arid and featureless grassland.

Dewdney had acquired land adjacent to the route of the future CPR line at Pile-of-Bones, which was distinguished only by collections of bison bones near a small spring run-off creek, some few kilometres downstream from its origin in the midst of what are now wheat fields. There was an "obvious conflict of interest" in Dewdney's promoting the site of Pile-of-Bones as the territorial headquarters and it was a national scandal at the time, but until 1896, when responsible government was accomplished, the territorial lieutenant-governor and council governed by fiat and there was little legitimate means of challenging such decisions.

So because of the petty, banal corruption of a no-name low-level British railway surveyor, I now live in a pathetic little prairie town with no history, culture, people, money, or warm weather. I intend to leave in the fall, and God willing I'll never be back.

We're well-known for the DC Sniper back in 2002. Oh and the Blair Witch kids went to my college and filmed about 5 miles away from my house, in the woods.

My wife and I were talking about the Sniper last night and we were thinking about how sketchy it was to get gas or go into any large parking lot and if it will be a big deal in the future. Weird times. I imagine that it was a lot more sketchy in Montgomery County where it all basically started.

My friend lives in the town next to Burkittsville. I think that is where the Blair Witch was supposed to be from, and everyone in town has a ghost story or two and he said it was like that way before that movie ever came out because of all the civil war deaths in that area. It was a little creepy late at night in the woods at first but not anymore.

Anyway, this is where I'm from and where I'm basically at.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fairfax_County

It was cool when I was younger because we had tons of woods near us before all the houses came. So we could go fuck around in there and then we could walk in the other direction for a while and get some food or some tapes or records at a shopping center.

Being close to the city was nice. Especially since the metro taking you into DC was a 5 minute walk from high school. It was pretty hard to resist when you took the bus to school and knew you could just walk a block and head downtown and make it back in time for the bus.

We have the city 30 minutes away and the mountains about an hour away. We also have some shitty beaches about 3 or 4 hours away.

There was a lab that had an Ebola Outbreak (http://virus.stanford.edu/filo/ebor.html) right in the middle of the suburbs. There was a mysterious fire that burned it down. At least that is what I was told. Its now a child daycare center a couple of people I knew worked at.

There is a book called a Tribe Apart that took place at the high school I was supposed to go to but didn't because of zoning laws. It pretty much sums up how it was around here in my ole stompin' grounds when I was a teen. Its funny reading about someone you know but having their name changed.

The Virginia Tech fuckface was also from the same area I grew up in. But I don't think that has anything to do with my hometown's influence on me and how it made me the way I am because of it. Much like everything else in this post.

I was born around here and plan on dying around here (Unless we have to move for work).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ayden%2C_North_Carolina

Everything is demographic info. Apparently, Ayden is special for absolutely no reason at all. I'd have to agree. Until the age of 6 I lived outside of Ayden. I don't really remember anything specific about it. Lots of hickish people with very southern accents. It's the kind of place where eveyone knows everyone, except I don't know anyone there. My mom, dad and I lived in a trailer in my granddaddy's back yard (behind HIS trailer) with no neighbors, so I didn't meet other kids/anyone outside of my family till I started school.

I think that's why I'm socially retarded. And why I get along with dogs so well. I didn't really make any friends at my first elementary school and don't really have any memories of playing with other kids in my neighborhood and such till about 3rd grade, and when we lived in our trailer... gosh how white trash do I sound? When we lived in our trailer we (the collective family living on the property) had several dogs and they were my playmates. I played with the dogs and would crawl around under the trailer with them. That's also where I played Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and made mud pizzas.

I was raised by domestic dogs!!! Hmm, not quite the same ring to it as "wolves"

So I guess my hometown made me who I am in the sense that we didn't live in a neighborhood where I could ride tricycles with the neighbor kids or whatever yunguns do for fun.
