Weird that they moved the show from the Avalon to the Opera House

i just went to Live Nation and it lists the Avalon on there.. they definitely were going to do it, but most have moved it at the last minute to the opera house. Guess it will probably be a lot better?

They probably changed it when they realized that MCA's birthday was on the same day and asking people to dress up at a general admission hall might not work with what they wanted to do.

The Opera House is perfect for what they want to do.

I bet they record this show too...


(Note: I already mentioned it but 8/5 is also the day of their first show in 1981)

Ya, that is really cool!! 12 years ago I sent him something for his birthday and he actually called me to say thanks!! AND sent me a postcard.
He still owes me a cup of tea... wonder if he will remember while he is in Boston?

Clubs on Landsdown also make shows and events shut down early to turn the place back into a club....

I saw ZTrip at Avalon once and he mentioned it while on stage.

Opera House looks like a cool venue, fancy Baroque! Much bigger than Avalon, though that would have been nuts if the show was there as Avalon is GA. Tried to get two tics together on Ticketmaster but seemed impossible, setttled for one pretty close up orchestra left and one up on mezz. Hopefully they're not too strict about movin around. Anyone been there before?

I've been to the Opera House for 2 plays and only 1 concert. I think they will be pretty strict as to making sure you stay in your seat. I'm sure they don't want anyone messing up the place seeing as it was just renovated a few years back. This is a Gala event anyhow...just sit (or stand) back and relax...enjoy the show!

I'm actually sitting in the right mezzanine as well. I don't think they will be bad seats. I've never sat up there...only in orchestra section...which actually the last concert I went to I was in orchestra center row T. Someone's head was in my way pretty much the whole show!
