How'd everybody do for the LA Greek theatre sale?

I could only get one single in Section B row Q on the pre-sale.

I logged on this morning and of course all pairs were gone in a second. Tried for a single and got random rear section C's and then by some sort of miracle, I pulled up a section A row D single! Snapped it up. Wow. I've never sat that close at the Greek.

How'd everybody else do?

wow, that is a miracle... I didnt see any tickets as a pair today. I got 2 tix presale section B row U... other than that, justs Cs or nothin. kinda gay.

i got 6 tickets for the Greek.. back of section C .. luckily the Greek is a small venue and no seats are bad seats

I tried to get tickets at 10am on both the pre-sale and general sale days and was unable to get two seats either time. I am amazed you guys got tickets at all. If you ask me something was fishy here. I find it hard to believe the show sold out in less than two seconds on the general sale day. I get the feeling this being LA and all that a bunch of industry tickets were handed out leaving the fans shafted. That and the whole stubhub thing is really annoying. How did they get so many tickets? I hope they add a show although it seems doubtful.

i got section A row A.....Greek Theatre is a cool place for a concert..one of my friends saw the Chili Peppers there in 1990

I got two seats in C, I think somewhere in the middle.

Not 100% sure I am keeping them though because money is tight. Come the time of the show though things may be better.

craigslist has some good deals out there... face value prices for both shows at the Greek.

Just found out I may be going back to L.A. for work RIGHT AFTER My 2 hometown Colorado Beasties gigs! With friends there positioned with tickets, I may be seeing more than 2 shows! Hell ya! Connecting the final dots now....................

I'm dumbfounded how someone such as myself is all on top of this sale at 9:59am search for tix which are "BEST AVAILABLE" and gets section C. Then later on you can get tix in Secn A as I searched outta curiousity... so some schmuck can come along later on slackin away and sit in front of the early bird? Makes absolutely no sense. OH and I hear kroq bought a good section of the greek for this... yeah all the kevin and bean fans will be there. Great.

Whatevs though, I gets me another evening with the Beastie Boys. Mile away or not, I'll have a good 'un.

alot of those used to gettin' all roughed up by the front might sit back and enjoy this one...take in all the nuances and the videos and effects that we might otherwise miss..

the sound/acoustics could be different... anything is possible..

As the date approaches we should take this to the PM's! Plenty of late night places to meet up round the Greek. Aw yeah! Me can't wait. I'm tempted to buy a new dress but dammit I'm trying to save $. Guess I'll have to work with what I've got.

I'm in Section B, row S, seats 16 and 18. It'll be my girlfriend's first Beasties show and my 5th Beasties show. Jennygirl, I hear you on the presale troubles. It's hard to figure out them sometimes... sometimes TM seems to put the best tickets online first, and sometimes they put the least good tickets up first. They did the later for the Daft Punk presale, and did the earlier for the Morrissey show at the 'Bowl. For the first show that was on sale ( 8/20 ), I waited and was only getting section C in the way back. As I was hoping for better tickets, it sold out and I gave my hopes up on seeing them this time around. For the second show, I was better prepared and I got on TM online at the right time and it said no tix were available. Yet, I called TM on the phone and as I was talking to a phone rep, tix started coming through. It was really odd, but at least I got some decent tickets... that and I was in the front for both the Pageant Show at the Long Beach Arena and at the "secret" show at the Fonda, so I'm cool with not being in the front couple rows... for now!

And for the record, does anyone know if either of these shows are Gala Events? Originally the website said the 8/20 show was a Gala Instrumental set, but now it does not say that for either. Anyone have an idea if these are just regular sets or not?

I have also been trying to find out if these shows are Galas. I agree with the KROQ assumption, but I don't know. On a bunch of random websites they say the show on the 19th is a Gala Show. And some even say the 20th. But the BBoys site doesn't specify, so I'm really curious.

They also added the Wiltern show, which has to be Gala... I don't know, does anyone know for sure??!!

the shows at the Greek are gonna be regular shows. the one at the Wiltern is a Gala Event..

I'm in the terrace section. Just thankful to get tickets! What a zoo! Very excited to go!:cool: The Greek is a great place to see a concert. Nothing like the great outdoors...anyone planning a pre-party there?
