i don't have internet on my own computer and won't for a while so this would be the solution for getting new music

your public library may have an A/V section. the one we got here is pretty good, not as good as Soulseek, but still worthwhile.

The libary in town used to let you do that - not sure if they still do. Bit of a commute tho.

Plus the latest CD they'll have is probably still Michael Jackson - Bad.

ow!

I used take CDs back to the shop all the time.

I'd usually use the 'This was a present but I already have it' line, but once I said (in a shop with a no quibble policy) that 'This is bad quality music, and therefore bad value.' Got my money back and all.

A spotty kid on minimum wage ain't gonna give two hoots who brings what back. Unless he/she has an napoleon complex or your so unlucky that the store manager/owner is actually doin some work that day and on the checkout.

I think you could say 'I've burned this shit now and thus useless to me, can I have my money back'

You have to watch some of them, I have been refused or given store credit when returning a shite cd. Asda for one. They refused to refund or credit not just a cd I took back, but a Playstation game too. The nerve of them!
