So who would you like to see open? I'm kinda guessing the gala events might not have an opener but that just a feeling and I'm not sure where it's coming from. But the big shows should have a opener.
In the past tours I've seen the Roots, A Tribe Called Quest and Tailb Kweli open, which are all east coast postive hip-hop. Who else has opened for them in the past?
I would love to see Bad Brains open, or The Go Team!
Gnarls Barkley would be noice and kinda fits the feel of the tour.
Lupe Fiasco might be cool, but I heard he's a so so live.
Let me know what ya think/want, but let's keep it realistic, their not gonna get Outkast, RedHot Chili Peppers or the Tatooine Cantina Band!

I saw Talib for free at my college and he was pretty awesome live! He had a lot of energy and got the crowd involved. DMC - I had tickets to see him but he cancelled his shows last year for some reason. I'm still mad over that. I'd like to see Run also!
What about Mix Master Mike? Isn't he "opening?" I think I saw someone posting that he does his own set of songs on the turntables.

Aw man, that must've been awesome seeing Talib for free!
I'm pretty sure he was in Toronto last year, but I live about 3 hours away and I had no way of getting there.
Damn, that sucks that DMC cancelled his shows.
Did you get a refund?
Yeah, Run would be awesome to see too.
As for Mix Master Mike opening, I have no idea.

Yeah, Talib was great. I saw him at Penn State during the Spring of '06. I just happened to be there that weekend and it was a great surprise! I know a lot of his songs so it was cool, and he actually took like 20-30 people up on stage with him. I was supposed to see DMC at Penn's Peak in northeast PA, but he cancelled out 2 weeks before (and we were refunded). Besides the B-Boys, Run DMC is probably in my top 3 favorite rap groups of all time so I'd love to see Run or DMC open in Philly!
I'm going to see LL Cool J in ATL City on Thu! Don't forget: Adrock is the one who found LL's demo tape at Def Jam and gave it to Rick/Russell. I recently discovered that Adrock was also involed in the beat for "I Need a Beat" by LL. Not sure if it's true.

That's awesome.
Damn, that would've been cool to be onstage with him.
I saw him when he opened for the Beastie Boys in Toronto, but I was only 12 at the time and I didn't know much of his stuff.
I'm that moronic-looking girl wearing blue on AIFST.
(I don't look that stupid everyday, only on special occasions.)
I'd love to see Talib again, since I know all his tracks now.
At least you got your money back, but I'd be pretty disappointed.
Yeah, Run DMC is definately up there in my top 3 faves as well.
Man, that's awesome.
LL Cool J's pretty awesome.
Yeah, I know that it was Adrock that gave 'em the tape.
Good thing, eh.
I don't know if Adrock was affiliated with "I Need A Beat"; I've never heard that before.

How about Dub Trio for the Gala Events (keeping with the instrumental theme) and Peeping Tom for the larger shows?

It's true; A. Horovitz has a songwriting credit on that track.
