tt5b came in at no2,i looked today for tmu it did'nt make it in the top 100 album sales.did it do well in america?
i don't understand their concert tickets are selling out in england in minutes,so why the poor record sales?
we need a single and promotion.

I put it down to the fact that the album hasn't been promoted like past ones. If you remember a couple of months before TT5B came out, they were on the Zane Lowe show on Radio one doing interviews about TT5B. When I went in last week to buy TMU it wasn't where all the new releases were, it was stuck amongst their other albums. Loooking at the bigger picture, I really don't think BB did this album with great sales in mind. I think it is something that they have, well Yauch has wanted to do for along time, and just recording it is probably enough for them. Too be honest with you, it does grate me when shit bands get better press that BB, but as we all know BB aren't the easiest band to interview. My only concern is that we may never have another album from them that has their vocals on it, rumours suggest the next album will be guest vocals only...be interesting to see how that is promoted. I've had TMU on in my taxi solid since I got it last week, and I've lost count the amount of people tapping their legs, or ask who is it? Bottom line is I have a great cd that I know about by the fact I'm heavily into The Beasties! Others are missing out!! (y)

buddy brought up the beasties doing an instrumental album the other day at a party and the general consensus was: what in the fuck are they thinking. these people aren't huge fans, but do enjoy the odd track, this is ruining their rep. among mediocre fans it seems. Oh well, i give em credit to sticking to their guns.

According to Billboard.com, it was 99. I still can't find any concrete sales data though...
