Ok i know this is going to spark your interest because it sparked mine before I even decided to make this thread. Ive never had one don't plan to ever get the chance. Would probably do anything to get one to hang out backstage at the show. So my question is has anyone ever had a backstage pass to talk to the beasties. No im not talkin about those who work on the stage or News crew. Im talkin about a fan liven a dream. And not some mtv dumb shit about meeting your fan that used to come on. Is it possible and can anyone hook it up. Im telling you if I was an artist id give out a backstage pass or 2. You know what I mean. If anyone has any stories please share. IF you had one question what would it be.

here is mine. Is it possible you can plan some more concerts to help contries in need. There is one that stands out in my heart right now. And that is Uganda. I mean come on. YOu have children begging for our help. But we want to fight A war so we can lower the price of gas :/. I mean I am in the military but wtf. I joined because I was sitting on my ass and I did not want my bro to be alone. But oh look now I never get to see him. Been what 2 years and that was 2 fucking days. Yea I love the troops over see's but fuck the military. Its a bullshit gig for the economey. IF you are not helping the people calling for you then you are a fucking joke. So anyway if anyone reads this that is at all involved witht he beastie boys or affileated I would like them or help them to set up a concert to benifet the education and health of those in Uganda and get back to the true spirit I seen in the beastie boys in the late 90's.

Okay, I guess no one else is going to touch this...

Yes. I have had the pleasure of meeting the B Boys in Seattle, WA in '93? '92? at the Moore Theatre. They were really not B Boys, rather B gentlemen.

Also saw them at some 'Palooza backstage around the same era.

Not to be rude, but fucken is spelled fucking. (Not that a lady like me would say such a word :p)

So what was your question?

I did get a backstage pass (though not access all areas) at the Reading Festival 1992 care of my cousin who was working there. BBoys were on the bill along with Mudhoney, L7, Nick Cave, Melvins, Bjorn Again & Nirvana (headlining, turned out to be their last ever gig on English soil) but I didnt meet the BBoys, I did meet L7 & the Lunachicks as well as got told to f**k off by Nick Cave for asking for an autograph. My cousin did meet Flava Flav the day before though.

I clean backstage does that count? Haha. I'm cleaning up after the boys this August at Red Rocks. Hey Beasties don't leave me a mess okay?? A little note in the dressing room to me would rock as well. Sadly though I work there and I am only in the 26th row :(. At least I kinda sorta have a backstage pass even though I am working right after the show xD I usually can get a glipse of people backstage but not much more than that. But I do get to take home whatever soda or food thier caterer leaves behind.

There's an entire blog dedicated to getting a backstage pass, or a press pass at least. We learned that when the Beastie Boys camp were contacted to "assist" with a special favour. Thankfully the cool member of the duo concerned had nothing to do with it.

backstage passes are overrated. unless you have an all-access (which are basically for the band and family) you cant do shit anyway.

ive had my share of AA laminates (not for the bboys), and its rather boring unless you are actually down with the band and belong there.
