depends on state laws and such, but you may be able to get a form from your state's labor department that your parents sign saying they give permission for you to work. then there are certain rules that would apply because of your age, like that you could only work X number of hours a week or that you can't work on school nights or something like that.

if you can get said permission, dont expect a good job. no offense, but an employer probably wont trust a 14 year old to do anything that involves any kind of responsibility. id say you could expect something like movie theater ticket taker, or where im from there are a lot of businesses that get people to dress up and stand by the road. like, i know theres a cell phone guy and a statue of liberty girl, and they just stand there and wave at people driving by. what a shit job. especially when its 90+ outside and you're in a giant cell phone costume. oh yeah, ice cream scooper would be another likely job.

your desire to work and earn money at your age is admirable. just apply everywhere you possibly can and eventually someone will call back.

i started working as a caddy during the summers just before i turned 15. although you don't strike me as someone who would want to lug golf clubs around for 4 hours to make a few bucks

I tried to get a job this summer, but it didn't work because of my age.
I ended up getting an interview at Tim Horton's (coffee store) but they didn't hire me.
Just apply everywhere though, you never know.

caddying
any ole job at the mall

you can make money any of these ways. girls have it much easier than guys. i used to shovel snow, rake leaves, mow lawns and sell shit to make money. no one hires boys to babysit

ggirlballa I was a shampoo girl all four years of high school, I didnt need a workers permit and it was only Thurs-Sat. all cash under the table...prob my best job ever. Maybe look into local salons or family owned places...
