DVD questiones!

hey there, does anyone know what the best way to go about uploading(?) a burned dvd to my computer so i can save it as a file? i'm guessing i have to download some sort of copying program.. because as of now it just plays in windows media player and doesnt let me save. a link or an instruction of some kind would be sweet.. thanks!

and its not a movie or anything, just a recording of a show

DVDdecrypter. They don't make it anymore, but you can find it online.

sweet, it worked. now what about a decent video editor for a pc? pretty much just chopping together a few different scenes is all i need.. nothin too fancy? somethin i could download online would be nice

If you're using a pc you should already have Windows Movie Maker.

As standard as it gets, but does the job just fine.
