My request/challenge would be what I'm calling the Pre-Mix-Up Version 2.0: The Vocal Edition. The Beastie Boys have said they are going to release another verison of the mix-up with vocals from some 'newer' singers. So, my challege would be a perview of what TMU might sound like with vocals from some Beastie Boys cohorts laid on top. Here are my ideas of some artists they might use:
Beck
Le Tiga
Bad Brains (reggae style)
Jill Cunliff (former lead singer of Luscious Jackson, who has a new solo album out now)
Sean Lennon
The chick from the Cardnigans
Ben Lee
Bjork
Mos Def (singing, sans 'Umi Says') and Talib, for a Blackstar reuion
Sherily Manson from Garbage
Cee-Lo (Gnarls Barkley style)
Kelis
Sleepy Brown with Big Boi
Andre 3000 on his own track singing style
Q-Tip and Phife
Jack White
Biz Markie
Thom York (radiohead)
Anothny Ketis (RHCP)
Neko Case
Cibo Matto
Bis
Bran Van 3000
Buffalo Daughter
Mars Volta
and some more female vocalists that would fit the concept
