this story has been making the rounds... after some of the most ignorant people on the planet uploaded this video, authorities in Texas are investigating whether this little girl was the victim of a poor joke or whether she had ingested MDMA...

judge for yourself- you cant get this kind of response by egging on a toddler.

the authorities have taken some of the children away to investigate further- the girl in question is on the floorboard of a moving van and an infant is being passed around the van like a hot potato....

I don't have audio so i can't hear the dialog. I'm assuming one of the other morons in the video says something about E? but honestly I can't tell if maybe that baby is just retarded...

at any rate she's not in a car seat where she should be. way to go.

they are saying such lines as "stop rolling, girl!" and "she took the hit like a soldier" as well as "Mom, turn on the AC!"

an All-American family unit listening to Christian radio is all it really shows:rolleyes:

Witnesses deny tot in video was on Ecstasy
Deputies trace 2-year-old and others in van to Harris County

Harris County authorities have located the 2-year-old child who was videotaped on the back-seat floorboard of a moving van while teens joked that she had taken the drug Ecstasy.

Lt. John Martin, a spokesman for the Harris County Sheriff's Office, said Tuesday that all nine people in the van — the toddler, an infant, four teens and three adults — are from Houston and were returning from Padre Island when the video was taken.

Everyone interviewed said the girl was not on Ecstasy, despite contrary claims on the video. Martin said that authorities have yet to determine whether she, indeed, was given the dangerous stimulant and hallucinogenic. No charges have been filed.

"There is not enough information to say with any degree of certainty whether or not (the toddler) was exposed to any illegal drugs," Martin said.

In the video, which originally appeared on YouTube, the 2-year-old child is seen crouching on the back-seat floorboard of the car and rolling her eyes back until only the whites are showing. A young woman in the car laughingly taps and squeezes the little girl's cheeks, telling her to stop rolling her eyes.

"Cookie, stop rolling, girl," she said. "You shouldn't have popped no x."

Investigators were told in interviews that the toddler had merely been asked to roll her eyes back into her head while they videotaped her, Martin said.

He said the little girl's mother, who is 21, was in the van when the video was taken. The video later was posted on YouTube with a link to a MySpace account maintained by one of the teens.

Martin could not say how investigators located the people in the van, but a spokeswoman for MySpace said the social networking site had cooperated with authorities in their investigation.

Harris County Child Protective Services spokeswoman Estella Olguin said the agency is eager to conduct its own investigation now that the children have been located. Aside from the toddler, an infant is seen being passed from person to person in the back seat.

The people who were in the van told authorities the video was shot on June 22, Olguin said. The two small children have been placed in the custody of relatives while the investigation is conducted, she said.

"We are looking at more than just whether a crime was committed," she said. "We also are looking at the welfare of these children, if they are in a safe environment, if there is cause for concern."

The video, which appeared on other Web sites after it was removed from YouTube, revealed ties to both Harris County and Jackson County. An announcer on the car radio is heard giving the call letters KHCB FM, which is a Christian station in Houston. An instrumental version of Jesus Loves Me is playing in the background.

The Jackson County Sheriff's Department and the FBI took part in the investigation.

It seems to me that the little girl was just rolling her eyes for fun. Young children have some strange particularities. But it was creepy anyway.

yes. I agree. I think those kids are just dumb enough to "joke" about giving her E without actually having done it. given that the entire combine IQ of everyone in that van is about 50, I think the child is just weird. her 21 year old mother might have done E while pregnant with her. now that I would beleive.

is it wrong of me to wish that that entire van had crashed in a firey mess? probably yeah. but I kinda do wish it had. that would have been a great video. :o

Jesus fucking christ, if there was any god there is no way that people like that would be allowed to bare children.

The only thing that doesn't make sense is the girl keeps doing it. Most kids at that age don't have that high of an attention span to do something they're told for as long as she does. Maybe for a few seconds, and then she'd giggle and start doing something else, but she just looks like a zombie, and does it for a full minute, and barely responds to them slapping and squishing her face.

That's not normal 2 year-old behavior.

ironically ,a-z, it appears the girl is not wearing a shirt ...

I'm thinking it was a hoax, but it still concerns me- that video shows enough about how these people treat raising children...

a lack of glowsticks indicates that no MDMA had been consumed.

eh, after having a girl that's been 2 years old, I just find that vid as the natural habitat of her.

For one thing, she's crouched in that little section of the van for a reason. 2 year olds basically have 3 functions at that time. Eat, play, and sleep.

I'm looking at that. I suppose she's had some eats, she's played, and now she's trying to sleep, hence the reason why she's crouched in that little section.

She's got some hyped up, "adults" messing with her while she's feeling tired and the only response she can give is a "leave me alone, I'm tired" response. Her eyes could be rolling in the back of her head cause she's ready to shut down for a nap.

The parents probably are saying "rolling" as in her eyes are rolling in the back of her head.

I'm sorry but, I'm not even trying to convince myself that this is some dumb assed parents trying to give their kids some X.

For one thing certainly, I'm convincing myself that these are stupid assed adults portraying their kid in some way that will haunt and possibly make their kid hate them for the rest of their life for bringing some unwanted controversy that will stick with them since it's on video for the whole world to see.

That would make sense, but then why would they say that they "told her to roll her eyes in the back of her head"? You'd think they'd say "She was tired and wanted to nap" instead of lying. That's the only thing that doesn't make sense, their "cover-up" story, which I don't buy.

Ok, I wrote that after just watching the vid and not reading Remy's cut and paste.

I'm just thinking the parents and all the people in that van our some dumbshits.

Whether or she was told to roll her eyes in the back of her head or not. The whole fact that they're referring her as to being on X is just sickening.

They're just thinking they're cool for implying that the girl is on X and thinking that they're so cool, they're posting it on myspace and youtube. Probably the real intention was to say that she really was rolling but after a few negative responses, they got spooked out and took down the video.

I'm still thinking that the kid isn't tripping at all. She just seemed too normal and for being 2 years old, it's normal.

If she were tripping for real then I hope justice does find it's way to them.

yuck, fucking trashy ass family. I don't think she was on drugs, she looks like she was just sleepy and playing. I've seen kids do that. but still, the way they were talking was so stupid and gross. and that chick could've poked the girl's eyes out if the car had to stop suddenly or something.

i'm kinda surprised that you would post any of the above, from claiming the combined IQ is 50 to wishing the van had crashed. and you can claim sarcasm all you want, but sarcasm is based upon a truth/belief somewhere along the line.

none of us are above calling anyone else an idiot (which looks even worse when spell check goes without use on a continual basis), nor are we able to judge a parent whose child may just be doing something with her eyes, on cue, that the child knows will cause a reaction out of adults. yet, because the mother is young, it is totally believable that she did drugs when pregnant or gave her child drugs? that's bullshit.
