I haven't but I've been tempted. I do drink decaf coffee after dinner in a fancy restaurant. Years ago I learned, it's all decaf.

I only had one brand of non-alcoholic so far, it was ok, but kinda weird. It works as a surrogate to food that goes well with beer though.

I have also drunk n/a beer when I was taking antibiotics and so couldn't have alcohol, but it was in the heat of summer and I fancied having a nice cold beer.

I haven't had any because I assumed it would just be like imitation regular beer, like how artificial strawberry just really can't substitute for strawberry.

I drink decaf coffee and maybe would have n/a beer because I like the taste of those things, kind of like what you're saying. I don't drink those things ONLY to get the buzz -- I like how good coffee tastes, I like how good beer tastes. That's why I've never understood the point of the "what's the point?" argument: are these folks saying they're drinking beer only for the alcohol content? 'cause if you don't like the flavor, man, there's TONS of other ways to ingest alcohol.

Maybe they're also only eating chocolate cake for the calories or something. The chocolate taste is just something you put up with.

But if I'm not drinking alcohol, there's probably a good reason (feeble attempt at sobriety), so I'm not sure I'd tease myself with n/a beer except under certain circumstances. And it'd probably be asking for trouble.

Legally, in the US, beers containing up to 0.5% alcohol by volume (ABV) can be called non-alcoholic. So you can still get drunk off of 'non-alcoholic' beer, depending on the type you get, and how much you drink.

Start with decent vodka from the freezer. Mix with your favorite juice if necessary. Put the car keys where you'll never reach them again for a couple days.

Beer isn't my favorite, but it sure is the cheapest! $4 pints > $8 mixed drinks. Oh and if it's happy hour - then it's only $2 a bottle!

I get drunk pretty easily too, so beer is usually the best option for me.
