I used to quite like ICP, never been into the juggalo stuff and facepainting and stuff but just liked their gimic. They are still going and the new stuff is pretty weak I think, but I liked the Dark Carnival era.

Personal view is that people take music way to seriously and that ICP is just a bit of fun. There whole point is demonstrating how stupid the concept of 'keeping it real' is in music. I don’t really understand why they are sooo hated, I suspect people don’t see that there is a certain amount of irony to their act and I personally think Violent J is an excellent storyteller.

Anyway, the song in question has been dealt with on this site a million times, it disses everyone and everything in the world including ICP. It is not a diss record against the Beastie Boys anymore than the track as a whole is a diss to the whole world.

I'll admit once upon a time... I enjoyed some of the shit ICP would crack out mostly because it is funny and like was previously stated they make fun of not only themselves but everyone else as well. Its sad to say but these guys are not as stupid as people or themselves make them out to be. These guys guys have mad cash I mean Master P money. They modeled their business structure around P's. The do all their own shit production, Pressing, distribution, marketing, shit these guys even have their own movie studio and make movies for fuck's sake. Every dime they spend on their albums/movies comes right back to them. They answer to no one but themselves. Believe it or not these guys have much more $$$ than the Beasties a few years back they were neck & neck with Eminem.
