B For My Name featuring Will Smith, Biz Markie, and Slick Rick...Acapella was taken from Will Smith's "So Fresh"...I would have never thought of Biz Markie if it wasn't on McScoobyT's challenge list....Check it out....I like Will Smith's verse the best as it easily went with the beat...I had to chop up the other two verses a quite a bit...Especially where Slick Rick goes "It's all because of you, I'm feeling sad and blue, etc..."..Any enough of me yappin...Chiggity Check it and all feedback is appreciated...
That's funny. Will Smith says "Doo Doo Rhymes" at 39 seconds...
From now on, you'll only be able to listen on my Soundclick page...The download site will be BeastieMixes.com....I will put the link to the download tonight..

Cos to the K, your my hero! That was dope, especially the slick rick sing songy ending.
So, remixers Cos met the challenge... let me see the rest of ya'll step up. Here's my challege list, and somebody said the accapella's for many of these bands are hard to find, well I don't know how to remix but I do know how to download, so I'll start scouring the DC++ hubs for some accapellas!
Below is the challenge list:
My next request/challenge would be wht I'm calling the Pre-Mix-Up Version 2.0: The Vocal Edition. The Beastie Boys have said they are going to release another verison of the mix-up with vocal from some 'newer' singers. So, my challege would be a perview of what TMU might sound like with vocal from some Beastie Boys Cohort laid on top. Here are my ideas of some artist they might use:
Biz Markie (DONE - thanx Cos)
Beck
Le Tiga
Bad Brains (reggae style)
Jill Cunliff (former lead singer of Luscious Jackson, who has a new solo album out now)
Sean Lennon
The chick from the Cardnigans
Bjork
Ben Lee
Mos Def (singing, sans 'Umi Says') and Talib, for a Blackstar reuion
Sherily Manson from Garbage
Cee-Lo (Gnarls Barkley style)
Kelis
Sleepy Brown with Big Boi
Andre 3000 on his own track singing style
Q-Tip and Phife
Jack White
Thom York (radiohead)
Anothny Ketis (RHCP)
Neko Case
Cibo Matto
Bis
Bran Van 3000
Buffalo Daughter
Mars Volta
and some more female vocalists that would fit the concept

Thanks alot, bro....Yeah, they're right, those acapellas are hard to find....If anything go to Acapella4u (http://www.acapellas4u.co.uk/index.php)
The only thing that sucks about that site is that you have to be active for 10 days before you can download the acapellas AND you only get 5 downloads a month, so choose carefully.

Well damn... I am ashamed to say I never even heard the original, much less the pella for that track. Cosmo, I like this a lot. It reminds me of watching an all star game (baseball) when I was a kid. It is difficult to explain without going on a diatribe, but when I saw the title of the thread my initial reaction was... He took 3 old school pellas and dropped a verse from each over a beastie instrumental (I did not know it was one pella). This remix is slammin'. A lot of you mixers are starting to push the envelope, and I can't believe I am saying this ('cause I was so bummed about the all instrumental album), but I have enjoyed the Mix Up remixes at least as much (leaning toward more) as any other release. Thanks man, you made my day(y)(y)(y)

Thanks for the compliments, fellas:). Don't worry Scooby, I never heard the original before I made the mix either. I just did a search of Biz Markie on that acapella site and this was the only one that came up...AND I did a search on google before I posted this and this track is on Will Smith's '99 album "Willenium"....I kind of figured that when he says "1985 to the Y2K". But all three of these guys are old school and will always sound old school, no matter what year it is...
Silence, it's all good, bro...I got wastd last night and by the time I got home, I passed out in like 2 seconds. So it really wouldn't of mattered.. Thanks for posting the link, man..
