JULY 17--NFL star Michael Vick was indicted today on a federal conspiracy charge for his alleged role in a dog fighting venture that operated from a Virginia property owned by the Atlanta Falcons quarterback. A copy of the indictment, filed today in U.S. District Court in Richmond, can be found below. The 27-year-old Vick, whose nickname is listed as "Ookie" in the indictment, allegedly established the Bad Newz Kennels in early-2001 in Smithfield, Virginia. It was this property, for which Vick paid $34,000, that the star athlete and his codefendants used as the "main staging area for housing and training the pit bulls involved in the dog fighting venture and hosting dog fights." According to prosecutors, Vick and his cohorts began purchasing pit bull puppies in late-2001 and would eventually "sponsor" individual dog fights with purses as high as $26,000. In the indictment's most harrowing parts, federal investigators describe what happened to some Bad Newz Kennels dogs that either lost matches or did not perform well in test fights. After a March 2003 loss by a female pit bull, codefendant Purnell Peace, "after consulting with Vick," electrocuted the animal. In April, prosecutors allege, Vick, Peace, and Quanis Phillips, "executed approximately 8 dogs that did not perform well in 'testing' sessions." These animals, the indictment claims, were killed "by various methods, including hanging, drowning, and slamming at least one dog's body to the ground."


To do this to another living creature - especially one as innoicent as a dog - deserves a special level in hell.

yeah this is kind of in the wrong place, but meh...

letting dogs eat him is letting him off too easy. first he should endure months of being kept in a cage and being brought out routinely to be beaten and have the shit kicked out of him. also, he should occasionally be starved. supposedly that makes you meaner and a better fighter. then after his good old fashioned dog fight training is over, put him in a pit with equal his weight in dogs. if he somehow survives the ensuing fight ( i doubt it), his punishment for losing (cause he would) should be one of the methods of dispatch he used on his dogs that didnt perform well. im partial to the dropping on the head, myself.

also, if you havnt seen it, theres a thread about this in BF where i made a post with some facts about pit bulls. you should go read it. and then adopt one and give it lots of love before some douchbag picks him up.

my dog libby is a pit mix. we got her from the pound. she has some scars on her, especially her face, and loud banging noises (like if you drop something or slam a fist on the table) or fast movements scare the bejesus out of her. pretty soon after getting her, she ate our couch, like, completely destroyed. all that was left of the cushions was like, the foam from inside, and that had bite marks taken out of it, so i started to hit her with a piece of fabric from the couch (no way it could hurt, it was just a piece of cloth, i just wanted her to know i was mad). she shit on the floor and ran and hid behind a chair :( i dont think ive used any kind of negative discipline on her since. nothing more than a slightly disappointed voice, which still makes her cringe. she's also highly claustrophobic, which has led to some pretty amazing feats on her part as far as escaping from things (straight up jumping out of a 6ft high kennel, somehow being outside of her crate when i got home from school with the door still locked closed... the crate thing only lasted 2 or 3 days) despite her being crazy and jumpy, shes the sweetest most loving and happiest dog i've ever met

It is so ghetto it is scary. The idiot makes millions and travels for $3,000 purses and when his dogs lose they put a bullet in their head. They even have what is called a "rape stand" for aggressive female dogs. They tie the female up and restrain her head for breeding.

His boys are P-Funk and Funk and Vick's nickname is Okie. They named their kennel Bad Boyz Kennel. Holla!
