same as notorious.. for instance, i don't think the UK-wide smoking ban is a good thing, and most who agree with me are on the right, or at least that's the way it would seem. i despise the guardian newspaper almost as much as i do the daily mail, daily express, other naturally right-wing papers; i think the guardian has become an incredibly cynical and boring publication, i struggle to understand why it's still perceived as being left-wing or why other students adhere to it like gospel.. that said the job section will keep most of us busy for the next 25 years. i was more of a firebrand in my youth, still have books that would get me funny looks if i took them on a plane. to me, the present system still needs massive tinkering-with, capitalism as a political model/ideology isn't overall healthy (best of a bad bunch, so i'm told). i dislike the fact that university acts as a (very expensive) surrogate for so many, who pass thru the institution only to emerge as ignorant, cubicle-ready binge drinkers, with little-to-know political motivation; those i've met who do study politics here in liverpool are alarmingly conservative. maybe i wasn't made for these times. maybe i'm just a taliban-loving communist pro-immigrant pinko fag.
