Keeps reminding me of one of the many great c.ds I've lost. I also used to have Opiate but, I think I lost that one back in 96.
I don't know why I keep losing c.ds. Well, yeah I do. It's usually alcohol, party with my pals induced.
I swear, I've lost at least 50 of my favorite cds during parties. It's all "hey man, have you hear the new____album yet?" My pals, "No man, let's have a listen"
Pop it in, the night gets great and I leave. Totally forgetting about it.
Anyone else lost some good cds like that? I swear, I've even bought new ones only to lost them again.
Thank god for mp3s and now in the meantime, I'm hurting to listen to the inspiration behind mikizee's avatar.

I seriously think that this is the first thread that someone has made about me. Hmmm, I don't know what to do!!!! *does hair*
Ok. I'm a huge Tool fan, even to the extent of having a lateralus tattoo wrapped around my arm. Aenima was the album that got me into Tool, so it is very special to me. So much so that I spent a great deal of money aquiring one of the master copies on vinyl, one of only 4 in the world.
As for the CD thing, just a couple of months ago I started keeping anotepad in my top drawer of my kitchen where I wrote down the CDs that I have lent out and to who. It has paid off already, as I looked at it the other day and thought 'Ohhhh yeah, THATS where that CD is!!'

Oh, nice hair. Asshole, JUST KIDDING. I'm just mad that everytime I listen to "Stairway to Heaven" I think of how huge my forehead is getting.
Tool is one of the greatest bands. Ya either hate em or want to puke at their shows. Puking at a tool show is a good thing, BTW. I'm kinda pissed at the direction of APC though. Emot or whatever the hell that last c.d. was named was bought and after two listens, it was put on the backburner. They tried too hard. 10,000 days was a very, very acceptable apology though. Yeah, your tat is pretty mint.
Thanks for the good idea for tracking the c.ds. Now, I buy the c.d and immediatly burn it to my mp3 player. I can hook it up to stereos and listen to it then. Hopefully I don't end up losing that thing as well. It's worth way more than cds. I did come close, I've accidentally left it at some bars and when I go to walk out, the tender would get my attention and give it to me. Bleh.

I must get one of those new fangled mp3 thingos one of these days. I only JUST bought a decent CD player!! First off I wanna buy a new turntable, the Rega Planar 3. Then, a really good phono pre-amp. Then, a better 2 ch amp. Then, probably a new pc. Then, MAAAAAYBE, a mp3 player. I'm a big stereo nut, so the lack of good sound quality of mp3s has been holding me back. I guess its inevitable that I'm going to get one.
I was talking to someone else on the vinylengine forum who said 10,000 days was the biggest waste of time that he had ever threw his money away on. And this was a massive tool fan!!! I was shocked. Sure, its maybe not their best, but it sure ain't a waste of money and time.

Eh, that's mainly the response I've heard from the many fans-non fans of the band. Alot of people don't take the fact that when they first came out, they stressed like what, 3 chords? Those same 3 chords followed through what, 3 whole cds?
If you're into music, the whole deal, you'll notice that people dig the catchy stuff but, once the band ventures into different realms, they freak out. "Oh too much to handle" crap.
They've explored alot more in 10,000 days. Vocal, bass and guitar wise but yet, people are so negative about it.
For example, Clutch. People always want to relate to the self titled c.d. It was great but when Tim Sult took the guitaring to even bigger levels, they added and organist and widened their whole sound, people are saying they have bitten the big one.
I dunno. People nowadays are just so damn impatient I suppose.
and in response to the huge tool fan. I prefer the Primus outlook. "We're Primus and we suck"
